Headphones for CTX 3030 parts list

How much difference in battery life with the different speaker resistances?
Also have seen some using 600 ohm speakers in their builds. Any advantage to that?

Thanks!

Power consumption is a good point but I don't think it would matter. Your wm10 and CTX put out a set power based on the set volume level in the CTX and that's that nothing more.

Silicone won't last. I see it everyday peeling off of surfaces. I've never personally had epoxy cause a issue with electronics or any surfaces so I'm pretty sure your in the clear. If you want a sealant instead maybe some thing like "3m 4000uv" would work for you. I've used that stuff on boats and its tuff stuff.

I'm just trying to figure out the best way to apply the epoxy because most come in the two part syringe that you have to squeeze out equal amounts but there is no way to get it into the tight place so after you mix it together. That is why I was looking at the shoe goo or amazing goo.

Hope you got your m12 connectors already. I placed a order for some more stuff I needed and both mouser and digikey were out of them. I won't be getting them until mid April!!!!

Yeah I got the 8pin connector areasy it's just the aqua seal and what ever I need to attach the speaker tube to the peltors and. Do you thing the amazing goo marine would work for that attaching the tubes to the peltors and where the cable is soldered to the 8pin connector. This is the one that OBN posted on here and there are plenty left.

I haven't done any yet so my advise is from what I've seen obn do or products I've worked with. There is no true right or wrong with this unless what you do fails! If your familiar with a product and know it will do what you need it to do go with it. Read up on what ever product you plan to use. Some list they are not meant to be submerged.

Well the amazing goo has flex so and is uv resistant and waterproof so I think that would work well. My headphones wont be submerged I only need them to be able to take a hit from a wave and survive if they accidentally take a dip after falling off from a wave.

check out this connector http://www.mouser.com/Search/Produc...tualkey52340000virtualkey523-12-08BMMA-SL8001.

That is the one I bought and it is the one OBN linked on the first page of this thread

Yeah it's the panel mount female that's out of stock. Working on a waterproof wm10 project as well. I want wireless waterproof this summer.

I just stopped at a Menards (hardware store) on the way home from work and look what I found in the clearance section! Score!

Awesome find I order it off amazon it will be here tomorrow. I wish I could find another heyco flex pigtail I should have ordered 2 but didn't think about it and I really don't want to pay the 4.99 for shipping from mouser when the piece is only $1.07.

Yeah it's shipping that kills it. I've made a few orders at a few places so shipping is adding up quick. Try looking on eBay there's free shipping a lot of times.

Just a suggestion for anyone who is looking at making there own headphones heyco has a link to request samples of there products and if you do it through US mail you do not need a account number for shipping
