I have actually seen people, a lot lately, trading their ctx for a deus. And again, the reason for the price change was because of currency exchange rates. I don't understand why on this forum the thread gets started asking about a certain thing and all of the sudden it turns into a "my detector is better than yours" thing. No one detector does it all and many factors come into play when hunting a site such as history, soil conditions, trash, user knowledge, and many other things. The OP asked if thr deus was worth buying. IMO you bet it is! that being said I think the Deus is extremely adaptable to all of those things. It can be set for basically any condition you encounter. That fact plus it being light, wireless, waterproof capable, c having a 5 year warranty, and having a great company actually taking user feedback to improve upon it through simple upgrades makes it one of the most versatile detectors out there. It might cost a grand buy if your out having fun with it and not going home with a sore shoulder and back, it's worth every penny.
