Well, I don't have to buy multiple coils to run different frequencies for one. 2: for $60 bucks I can make the deus waterproof to 10 feet, which is an important factor to me. I can design and save my own custom programs to use in different sites based on where I am and what I'm hunting. I can plug it into my computer and dowload updates straight to the control box rather than having to send it in. Just to name a few.
I guess another question I have is, Is the dues chattery? Whats a good comparison detector to the chatter of the deus?
I'm searching for my next detector. Was wondering if the deus is worth a look at since lowering the price on it..
I haven't seen much discussion on the XP deus on this forum, and all youtube videos I find on it are either foreign, or from the UK. So does anyone have any experience using the deus in the states? How deep does it go? Is it good on the beach or trashy parks? What are some strengths and weaknesses?
Thanks!

I made up my mind about spending money on detectors when I had a few grand in this hobby. And for what I thought, and I'll say it again,I'm not paying a thousand or more to find a merc that a 500 detector missed.Just seems nuts. But if having that merc means that much to someone, have at it.I have a college degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in buisness, and I know business management targets select groups. And these detector companions sure got there fishhoooks in some of these guys, and it's a gold mine for them.
Your right and I understand.I hope you also cut and pasted everyone else's opinions about other detectors and things, other than the dues.Or maybe you just don't like the truth
