I tried carrying a sig model p230 in a Inside Waist Band holster. With all the bending and getting up and down, it turned out to be so darned uncomfortable that I took it off. A OWB holster would probably be a lot more comfortable but as the weather turns warmer, it would be tougher to conceal. I just carry a small container of pepper spray, mainly for dogs.

Glock 9mm & shoulder harness but I do not carry it all the time..only when I detect uncertain areas.Carrying a weapon gives a lot of nasty looks & I don't blame them.I would rather make friends than enemies

I carry a small knife (3" blade) and razor sharp. Also carry a 4" blade hunting knife from my belt for when I'm in the woods. I do like the idea of pepper spray. Think I'll get some. Where do you buy it?

One caution about pepper spray... if the perpetrator is on PCP (angel dust) it will not deter him... rare, however police encounter it fairly often... Otherwise, it is better than nothing... A handgun is still the best, provided the bearer is trained. RickO

Ya know i just keep liking this site more and more I didnt think it was possible. Big NRA member here getting my permit shortly and carry my knife and mace.

on the mace - i have tried it I bought some years ago and sprayed it (just out of stupid curiousity) it sprays far and if your down wind close your eyes I got some back in my face only a tiny tiny bit but it was not nice.

I use a fairly large hunting knife to dig with. Where I live (central Illinois), that's weapon enough.

On any night hunt I carry my FN P-9 9mm openly. You just never know with people these days...

CCW's are hard to obtain around here so other than my digger, I carry no weapon.... but I got gas!
I have a CCW permit, like several of you and I've tried carrying a small .45 Glock, but it was too heavy for an Inside the Waist Band holster, in the summer.
Tried a smaller, lighter Sig .380 in an IWB holster, but didn't like that either. I've been thinking about and looking into something like a pocket pistol. Maybe in the .380 range.

check into the S&W air lights,they are very light and compact,easy to conceal and very comfortable. mine is in .357 mag so it still has some size to it but the 380 is alot smaller and will still pack the punch,im just a big fan of the larger cals. i carry the STI .45 acp most of the time but when im hunting in the woods/fields or places where there isn't many people i carry the ruger revolver in .44 mag.

I live in a pretty safe area, im 6foot3, and im a pacifist. I could never imagine needing to use weapons, plus I am 26 and never fired a gun in my life, most likely never will, the only weapon I carry is my brain, and trust me, when you pull it out and are about ready to throw it at people, they run like the living dead were after them!
