So I made this pinpointer, and lets just say, it works pretty well.
I took it on the beach today, please ignore the ugly tape and stuff, I didn't bolt it or seal it yet, incase it needed adjusting. I will make it look all nice and stuff later tonight. But I was able to dig a hole, put that in there and tell exactly were the item was I was trying to find. Which side of the hole it was on, etc.

And I could wave it over a scoop of sand and tell if the object was in the sand or not. Works really nice and not bad for a $9.99 item.

Thanks. Yes, after I bought this stud finder, I saw that hf had cheap pinpointers for like 15.00. I mean, its 5.00, but hey, it works :)

Just remember, remember, remember to mark and write down which 2 copper wires and which 2 reddish copper wires go where.. Trust me. And check it out before soldering or bolting together. The reddish copper wires and copper wires both have a coating on them. It will need scraped off before you attach your length of extension wire. Will save a huge headache.
