Free money

Nothing is worse than the time I found a filthy dime that I could SWEAR said 1955. It wasn't until I explained to my sister what's so special that I realized it was actually 1965. Oops.

Nice!! I always check the coinstar!! I have found a silver dime stuck to the tray before. I always get weird looks from everyone but, lol it's worth it when you score!!!

:p

Thats why I send my little one to do it. Its cute when a five year old is lookin for change he has come back with two silver dimes a 1919 wheat and numerous foreign coins.

<~~scored a Aladins castle token yesterday Matt..u know what they are...Arcade here i come!!!

Nice to see people still get excited to find a few coins. You guys were the same ones who checked phone booths for change! That is WHEN there were phone booths.

When i was little, on vacation in OC, md there used to be payphones very couple streets. I always checked for change. I also did it in newspaper racks too. Once I found a dime in a USA today paper rack and being only 4 or 5 it was all I talked about all vacation.

Hey Mike, I found an Aladdin's Castle token last week at that tearout in West Allis!
Just got it cleaned up:D

Are those tokens worth anything? I dug one up the other day and it was in perfect shape. We don't have one of those arcades here as far as I know, so its would be interesting to know how it ended up in a small rural town at a swimming hole.

As a young teeenager we use to fill the coin returns with egg whites. Anyone went in after the coins almost always drew their fingers out empty after feeling that goo.

We made off with enough change to fill the gas tank once a week. Of course that's when gas cost only a quarter or less a gallon.
