Found Silver!

Must be beginners luck! Congrats, now you can go buy a "video camera" and share your great hunts with us... (WE LOVE VIDEO'S) Good luck in the future!

I'm sorry but I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that anybody could find all of those coins in one hunt, much less a beginner.
This is not jealousy, either (I have never found a Morgan, yet)
I have read several thousand posts and I do not think I have ever seen TWO Morgans in one hunt.
I guess either congratulations are in order, or we will never see you posting again:no:

There was one person who had FOUR morgan dollars. I totally believe her, I have gotten incredible luck in the past (Large cent, then Half Dime in the last two holes of the day AND in decent shape) . She most likely has a wonderful price of property where she is finding a numerous amount of coins in good condition. Her soil is likely very sandy and rich and would only put minimal damage on the coins. Some of these coins even have OBVIOUS DAMAGE. Stop bashing her and grow up - it must be this cabin fever :D

This is almost as believable as someone finding $10 million worth of mint gold coins in a can without a metal detector. Oh wait - -that did happen recently!

Despite the seemingly low odds of finding these awesome coins, it certainly is possible since a lot of success in this hobby is really about being at the right location with even a decent entry level detector.

Sylvia, we've been duped before with posts like yours (so we are a little cynical when newcomers posts such amazing finds), but I'll chose to believe that you found these coins (even if your husband planted these as some suggested)! HH

Next hunt show your trash, take some area shots. Explain your finds ie how deep, location, scenarios etc GREAT FINDS!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. but some of you just sound mad.

I did the research and shared the info with Sylvia and her husband....
The area at one time had several hundred employees and the area to my knowledge has never been detected..

So for the people that call "BS", don't be hating..

I read the post and still do not understand why people would fake posts? Is there a contest that I do not know about? :?:

They unfortunately have had more time then I have to have had to work it.

Now that I had a little time today, I'm gonna go post a pic of my finds. :D

Normally I would never do this, but im calling b.s on this for the simple fact that those clearly all came out of different types of soil or never saw soil at all... I agree with the other guy some IHP wouldve looked nicer..

maybe your husband is planting them as he digs the hole, but odds that you found these coins in the condition they are in are unbelievably low. Like I said,
1 in a billion chance these were found as described. I'd love to see a video of these finds. Sorry Sylvia, just does not add up. If it walks like a duck ...

Yeah, i'm with you guys, as soon as i saw the "on my third hunt" and the coins (the seated quarter and morgans espically) a red flag popped up. Sorry, i want to, but i dont believe it.

Look at her first thread guys, a large cent and capped bust dime and from her 1st or second hunt? Im totally calling RED FLAG here. It'd be damn near impossible to find that large variety of impressive coins and span of dates from even 3-4 hunts if you've been doing this for 20 years let alone three hunts!

You are all free to question finds but please keep it civil and as "Friendly" as possible.

Im not saying its impossible to find those in one hunt, very slim chances but totally possible.. Its the different conditions and especially the coppers look like they never saw dirt

Ok if this is real then i gotaa say WOW. You are freakin lucky!!! Also I think I am speaking for everyone on here when I say this...I HATE YOU FOR BEING SO LUCKY!!!:lol::lol:

No doubt Tmole, I am kinda hating her also.. I went to the same place and only found one wheatie and the cow tag and the tax token.. i consider myself luckie when I find anything though. :-D

Holy Smokes! Awesome finds. I'm not going to question the authenticity of the finds since I have no way of knowing either way. I will just trust the honesty of the OP until proving otherwise.

LOL I've been digging for over 30 years and never found a Morgan!!!

Wow! I guess I just suk at this metal detecting thing. I've been digging for 4 years and haven't found a Morgan. You go out a couple times and find 2, and in amazing condition compared to your other coins. Now go out and buy a lottery ticket. Scratch that, buy 2 and send one to me:lol:

Thanks all for HATING ME....I love you to. And Ray you will find more... I just know there is more out there. It is a very large piece of land so we have a lot more to cover.

Thank you so much Ray for all your research. :peckkey:

I believe her.

Why? Because I, with my el cheapo Radio Shack Micronta, found the Walking Liberty coin in my back yard in Hollywood. Also... as has been said in earlier threads, "Wow it must have been GREAT MDing back in the Seventies!" Well, it WAS! I STARTED back then. Before everybody and his dog bought detectors. I hit virgin territory EVERYWHERE and was pulling some great stuff out of the ground. Now... not so much.

If Sylvia and her husband and friends have found an UNDETECTED area then yes it IS possible. Y'all need to look up at the TOP of the page and READ the name there. *Friendly* Metal Detecting Forums.

So settle down, back off and give the lady the benefit of the doubt.

Or I'll sic Gryphon and Lillie on ya. Dog saliva EVERYWHERE!

Don't confuse hate with jealousy. You have to understand the skepticism here. In two guys posts here on this thread a combined 70 years of hunting without a Morgan. I'm not going to lie, I have my doubts about your finds, but it doesn't matter. Maybe your husband planted them or maybe they are totally legit. Makes no difference to me. I just hope you are enjoying the hobby and have many more finds in your future! BTW I'm still waiting on my lottery ticket:lol:
