I think many do the right thing and return rings and stuff that can be identified. I do I ask for a thank you letter in return. I don't think this has been a issue here or anywhere's else. There will always be a people that find some items be it detecting or walking down the road that won't return items that are clearly marked.That's just human nature. I think the issue is when you find a item and post it or show it to another person and they run to tell someone you found there ring, it becomes an issue. I am pretty sure no one walks down the beach after finding a ring asking if its anyone lost it! How in the world does one pair a lost ring (that looks like the one they lost) sold by the 100's or 1000's with being there's? Just makes no sence at all.
We are all out there to find things it makes no sence to have $25,000.00 Dollars worth of hunting stuff just to give back all the stuff you find. Everybody need to set an ethical standard when we start this hobby,that you are comfortable with, I did. If it dosen't fit everybody else's standard its just too bad.

I have not been hunting much since Sandy beaches closed at home and whee I work. I was always good for a 2/3 hr hunt after work every night. Its an 45 minride just to start the hunt. Beaches up my way are wiped. They trucked in 200 to 300 trucks of sand a day for a 2 weeks in a 1 mile stretch. My home court won't be open for months. I am begining to learn some of the traits of the 3030 and have become comfortable with it.To me its going to be a good tool for beach hunting some day. I will never get rid of my Excaliburs, never hinted toward that direction. I just wanted to give the new tool a fair shake!

Your area got punished so badly that I wouldn't blame you for not hunting as it's a bad situation up there, however you did post a pic of an expensive toy train sitting on the beach, whiile you were hunting just after the storm passed and you were allowed on the beach...

Just curious ??

Did you put it in your pouch or leave it for some kid to find ??
