I need to find a metal( a few nanometers thick but long few centimeters) in a fiberglass of about 1.5 mm thickness. Is it possible to use a metal detector for such task? How accurate the findings will be in such small dimensions? Thank you for the reply

I found this metal thing where there used to be a line of telephone poles and a pond it is very heavy for its size. Please help me I have no idea what it is or could be so any suggestion is helpfull.
