What Do You Make?

I make large abstract paintings for affluent people all over the world. Most of my works are 4x4 foot on up and can take as long as several months to complete.

We're thinking of a video series in the near future but there are many complexities to work out first.

I have really enjoyed the posts here and have been amazed at the talent.

Keep posting!

A few things I make

I have a CNC plasma cutter and a small home metal shop. I do metal artwork , make cider presses, chandeliers and make a few knives and light belt axes from saw blades. Most of the saw blades go for artwork. I sell some knife blanks locally. The knives are for my own satisfaction only. I don't pretend to be a true Blade Smith. Now, it seems, I am also making my own personal sand scoops, relic shovels etc..................metalwrkr

I studied sculpture when I finally got around to going to college,
but nothing come of it.
I wasn't cut out to teach and wasn't mainstream enough to hook a good gallery.
I was a carpenter when I went in and a carpenter when I got out.

I have still got an itch I gave to scratch now and again.

there are also some links in the right hand column to YouTube vids of some earlier stuff.

They remind me of steampunk...mixed with starwars...really nice

when i was in HS I made something that looked simular to that on the metal lathe (1982ish) we were supposed to be makeing a waterproof match holder, I cut mine out of aluminum, knerled the side. Mine I made a bit longer and a bit bigger round to accomidate some hand rolled cigs  polished it up added a o-ring and it was a beautiful thing. worked great and I got an A. I miss doing the metal work.

I was a rotor head also

And finally, Uncle Sam sent me to several schools to be qualified to work on the Apache A model and Apache D model (Longbow), but then decided he liked my work so much, I needed to go across the pond and into the sandbox (no, not a tot-lot).

A couple years after coming back to the US, I retired at 44 and now I make breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts in Dutch ovens and cast iron cookware. :chef:

I was a 67R class 3-86, apache crewcief, last stationed at illesiem germany, 2nd sqdn 6th cav. (REAL CAV) my whole unit moved from ft. hood tx. to germany, we were first unit with apache in europe. I ETSed in aug. 1988. Thanks for your service.....cliff.

I build model rockets in the winter. Single stage, multi-stage. Some go as high as 3000 feet. Don't want to launch them when it's windy though, they can travel a long way downrange....

Dusty

as my senior science project (1984) i did it on jet propulsion, loved building the rockets and demoing them for the judges it got me an A for the year for going to the science fair @ Toledo university and ohio state University where i won blue ribbons at both. I also did cars using the rockets and running them down a line. so much fun.
