Hello! Thank you for your comment. In response to your first point, let's first make the distinction between ''bugs/flaws'' and advancements. If you look at the list of the items given in updates, the majority of them are new features and settings based on user responses to a question we asked on FB groups as well as on this forum: ''What additional features would you like to see on the Legend?''. And yes we did have some flaws but acknowledged them and corrected them faster than any other mfr.
Now, regarding testers, you may be right but then again who is a ''qualified tester''? Or what makes them qualified? People who are posting videos/comments about the Legend today have also tested products for us in the past. You think they did not miss bugs/flaws that surfaced after the product was distributed? You bet they did!
And that is why I announced that we will have ALL USERS test the next update as a beta version first.

Bugs / flaws / updates are today's reality and the best thing in electronics. I get updates on all my electronics almost weekly! Has anybody read what the updates involve on a phone? You may be surprised with the amount of bug fixes along with advancements.

What bothers me the most is the fact that as we are speaking, my competitor products that cost a lot more are also having issues that are discussed by its users / dealers etc yet some try to make it seem like Legend is the only device that had issues. I am not criticizing my competitor because as a manufacturer we know how hard it is to develop a detector.
However, there is a big difference. When we have an issue, we come out openly and say we have an issue.
The most important thing is to be able to stand proudly behind your product and do whatever it takes to make it right for the customers!
And I can proudly say that we are the only one in this industry in that sense!

Now regarding your second point – I am sorry for what happened in the FB group but please note that as Nokta we DO NOT moderate any Legend groups. We only have control over the official page and the users group. I personally try to engage and respond to some but cannot keep up with it all either.

Thank you Dilek for responding and making some clarifications. You are correct. There is a difference in bugs/flaws/advancements. So my mistake as I have not gone through every "update". And you are the ONLY one who communicates compared to other companies. All they have are just a few who posts videos or do their own backyard testing. Many of which are tilted. I do wish we could hear from other actual company representatives. Kind of sad your being attacked but the D2 has been attacked as well. I am really looking for a new pulse induction machine , having gone through 3 Nox's. A pulse still works the best for me after 40 years of hunting So.Cal beaches. But I will still have to wait a bit before I get a Legend....

Hello all! Whether this will put an end to all this discussion or not, I really do not know! But I will go ahead and mention this:

Calabash started bashing the Legend long before he got one – his first comment was a 635 USD device CANNOT compete with devices that costs more!
Here we are today watching him and his friend comparing a 635 USD machine to 1000+ USD machines and all we got is a few scenarios and nothing else to justify the price difference.

The two you speak of as i am sure you know, got their feelings hurt when they went after your company and vowed to never mention the name again or ever use one. I assumed they got sued as scared as they were. Then they realized they needed Nokta since their youtube channel views died, they showed back up like a bad case of acne. You are going to be stuck with these two for a good bit i am afraid.

How would one know who legitimate testers are as opposed to those self proclaimed, agenda based, testers? A bit overwhelmed with posters showing test out the wazoo yet using test results to shill for another detector brand at the same time.

If you see either a drama vid or drama comment about ditching a company and never talking about them again and then they show back up like everything is cool and unbiased, run don't walk!

Thus far coil cable connectors and control head connectors are holding up well.
I have done numerous numerous coil changes. One does need to apply some pressure to cable connector at control head. Nice good fit. No slop.

Actually these connectors smoother than what Xp uses on Deus 2. The real deal.

I haven’t played with extra battery pack much. Got it out and looked at it.
May show some video with it soon. I haven’t even charged it yet.

My theory on why Legend acts like it does comparing Multi park .M1 and Equinox Park 1 while sweeping higher conductive coin with small foil, can slaw above plane of coin.
I notice park 1 EQx ranks superior. Yet park 2 EQX ranks inferior to Legend Park M1.
I wonder what we would see with EQX Park 1 or Park 2 if indeed zero frequency weighting was applied? I submit EQX in this configuration would behave lot like Legend multi 1 park.

Hence I suspect no freq weighting taking place inside Legend. Only my opinion. Maybe one day we’ll know the real deal concerning this.

This multi-IQ used in EQUinox might be more complicated to engineer. And just maybe it hadn’t got the credit it deserves. Sometimes I wonder if Minelab went this route was more for Emi mitigation (not using lower freq). Or was it keeping freq constant and using freq weighting allowed for more precise matching of coil.
Mr Danksowki spoke of this- Eqx being engineered in detail for the 11” coil. Not the bigger and smaller coils.

Be nice if someone would take Legend V1.09 to wet salt beach and compare to Equinox using some medium and smaller sized gold rings and do some depth comparisons. Reason I would like to see, is due to how multi beach wet on Legend behaves vs Beach 1 or 2 on Equinox when exposed to smaller foil/can slaw trying to detect higher conductive coin.
