Dutchess County NY

Mike and Walt are in. Now the question is where should we go?

Quick Lunch time hunt some wheat cents and fresh air

I was lucky enough to be granted permission to a five acre 1860's estate along the Hudson that was owned by a descendant of the Livingston family. Found some wheat cents and a ton of memorials buried pretty deep. I am thinking that they must have recently did a lot of landscaping to make it all so nice and neat, unfortunately that means it may be harder to find what I am looking for..

There was one first time experience for me though... I stepped on a darn chicken egg that was in the grass.... I have no idea why it was there but it got egg goop all over my nice work shoes...

 If that would have been me, I would have been upset about killing a baby chick in the egg rather than my shoes!

Sorry, just read the title that is was lunch time. That sucks

Poughkeepsie has it's share of parks that are very old. Last time out with Walt at one of these parks I found a couple wheats, a mercury and a bunch of clad..... There are other parks that we could visit that have been hit pretty hard but I almost always walk away with at least a couple of wheats. Outside of my area is a mystery to me but I would be willing to drive a bit to try something new...

I may still be in. Hubby says for me to go Sun. Any thoughts yet on a place?
