Dutchess County NY

Went out to a farm built in 1776 , which is two hundred years before I was born. I was able to find a nice 1797 british coin and a sterling silver pin before I had to go.

Nice! Are you going back?

Off to the farm photo

Here is a link to the photo of the treasure I found at the farm. The 1797 coin was deep at about ten inches but the signal was fantastic. I plan on going back after I hit another 1800 farm I have permission to detect at. I don't want to bother the same farmer too many days in a row.

I would probably be able to make it out for a hunt this Sunday if anyone wants to set something up for the morning.

Sunday?

GKMan, Sunday is looking good for me.

How about anyone else?
Unearthed?

Do you have any sites in mind?

No. I am willing to drive a little north so a few of us could get together. I don't know the area up north as far as where to hunt, never hunted north of here. (Only a CT beach once with a member from here. )

Lets see how many people we get, if it was just us I would probably try to get permission for you to join me at one of the old farms I have been detecting,if that is something you would be interested in.

A fun little hunt today

Found a Good luck token that had been shot it says on one side that it is good for fifty cents towards your first suit or overcoat. It then gives the business name which I am trying to track down since it should have been right down the street from where I found it. The nickel is a war nickel.

Very nice! What is the name on the token? Or the number before Main St?
