Too Funny!Sneak peak at the ApeX. Just look at the new coil, the new handle shaft and partial control box.
Can't wait to try out the new Petrified Wood Shaft and punch in the settings on that Half Controller.

I signed up for the reveal but not sure what I have to do next?
I only hunt saltwater beaches and i primarily use two garretts and a Fisher, if there has been waves and tides ill take the cz and work the low spots when the sand gets so black multifreqs get weak i take the infinium on most other days i take the at pro for me its way more efficient on the dry sand and will work if i see some potential in the wet sand
I wouldn't expect a triple. Those are far more rare than home runs.
Seems obvious to me. The Simplex stung a little. Notice apex sounds similar.
Don’t like the name apex they have selected. Unless the detector actually does in reality for price paid lead the pack.
Right now Simplex is the Apex imo.
Could this change on May 15?
We’ll see.
Little surprised the msrp for new apex hasn’t been revealed. Unless I missed.
The letter X sure gets used a lot with detector names. Lol
Btw, see the latest video by Xp?
I think there are some comments in it pointed to simplex.
Talking about cheaper detectors basically being subpar. Like crappy assembled, etc.
Video can be seen here.

Garrett just makes a quality metal detector for the hobbiest.Always have. Can't believe all the drama going on, speculation and comparisons to a machine we don't even know anything about

What would it take for a detector manufacturer to hit an inside the park homerun ? Combo pi. multi frequency, separation faster than Deus and 20" depth for small gold rings ?
I can't believe people have to report posts. Childish. Take your disagreements/arguments to PM.
Don't like what is conveyed in a post, then make a counterpoint or move on.
To me reporting a post is like running to your mommy or daddy and "telling" on your siblings.
Anyway, I'm curious about the Garrett Apex. Very interested in what they came out with.
Who knows, I haven't clicked with my Equionox, and if at the end of this years season still haven't, will be looking to sell it.
Who knows, maybe grab an Apex if initial reviews are positive.
P.S. I'm not knocking Minelab with my opinion of the Equinox, and not pushing Garrett!

Now, if all folks did is talk peaches and cream about any detector really, wonder if this could/would stifle better future released models by any manufacturer really?
I think so.

For me, it would basically be an Equinox 800 in the form factor of the AT series or Vanquish detectors (but water proof to at least 3 meters). It would also use AA batteries.
The 2 main things holding me back from the Equinox are the lack of AA batteries and the lack of an S shaft.
I'm peculiar, I know.
I think one day AA batteries won't be required on any detector. S shaft is ok. The Nox is not even close to the F-75 in ergonomics. That is the most ergonomic detector there is not named Deus. I would like to Garret go in that direction re the F-75.
Sadly, you're probably right. And it's not just any detector, but many other consumer devices. Companies pushing forced obsolescence and attacking the DIYer isn't going away anytime soon.
As for the Fisher F75, yes, I love the feel of that detector. It's on my list of next possible detectors primarily due to its ergonomics.
