old horseshoes?

hey guys....does anyone know if old horseshoes are worth anything? if so, are there any ways to determine there worth? (ie books, internet). I dug one the other day not too far from a revolutionary war button so perhaps it fell off the foot of a soldier's horse? thanks for the help!

sorry marc but i never heard of secondary market for horse shoes but you might try ebay.

Marcus there may be a market somewhere but I don't know one. I did get the most out of my old horseshoes that I dug from a CW site, welded them to make a detector hanger in my room. Steve in so az
