I would tend to lean toward the X-Terra, but it also depends on where & what you hunt.

I agree depends on what your looking for and what features in a metal detector are important to you. My vote is Xterra, and it's not even close...

Just based on what it’s capable of the xterra with no question. It’s just more advanced in time, and that counts for a lot.

If you have any Equinox coils laying around the XTP is nice, being they are compatible.
