Hey! NOKTA wheres the new P.I?

I remember Dilek mentioning that they were working on a PI machine way back when I was field testing the Multi Kruzer. I figured they would have something out on the market before now.
 
Dilek just mentioned that a new detector, “sit above the Legend”, was just months away. So, this isn’t a PI.

SAW another video , 2 Pi machines a GOLD waterproof , a Relic , special note to Nokta , The Gold PI is said to be Waterproof , that is a plus , BUT make sure it has Salt water , beach mode and besides just the nugget buster SOLID coils , water coils for options instead when ordering , A BIG mistake that the AXIOM release failed to do , BEACH/ WATERHUNTERS forgotten , the head was not waterproof & no non solid coils !!!!!:chaplin::wish: PS TACKLE THE short falls the Axiom left out , your sales in the US will double , The Beach / water ,hunters have been waiting for 15 years for a NEW Salt water/ beach detector , if you make it happen , I will buy my 1st. Nokta PI :thumbsup: PS Over here Minelab owns the NUGGET machine market , however they didn't take my advice on making a Salt water / beach waterproof Pi detector :( Here is your chance to capture Beach / Water hunters demand , don't make the mistake Garrett did & just made another nugget buster who is now seeing price drops on the Axiom . PS WHY would beach water hunters want a PI at the beach ? , Depth, EMI, Black sand, they are great a coping with the elements, were Multi Frequency machines fall short, make some changes, before your release, Earl

I am with you have been waiting for over a year want a new detector even though I enjoy my legend was to explore with the PI detector
 
I’m fairly new to the detecting world and was curious that if Nokta is soft announcing a new detector does that typically mean another company may also be planning something to compete? Kind of like Apple announcing a new phone right after Samsung puts one out to steal their thunder so to speak?

Hey MA, I just made a post in the "All about Detectors" sub forum about Nokta's new PI, called "Magnetar". I don't know when, but from the info I saw, looks like it could be releasing very soon. They'll have 2 different versions of the PI, one for gold nugget hunting, the other for searching historical relics. According to the list of details known so far, it's also supposed to be fully waterproof, so good news for beach/shallow water hunters.

Here's the link to the Blog where I got the info earlier today. There's quite a few pics of the detector posted, and I've also attached what looks like a Nokta Marketing piece to my reply. So, IMO, if Nokta is starting to release pics, some specs, and already has some marketing/promotional material ready to go, I'm sure it won't be much longer.

Looks like they're also releasing new technology called "Active Magnetic Sensor" which is presumably thought to be capable of distinguishing between magnetic (i.e., iron) and non-magnetic (i.e., gold) metals. That would be interesting.

Wrong , solid coils float in the water , if Nokta makes non solid waterproof coils to go with this PI , only than , I would look at it , half way there doesn't cut the mustard, all implications are leading to, yet just another nugget buster ! :roll::(
 
Just be patient. I hope this is a sign they are working to get it right and complete upon release, instead of having paying customers to be the beta testers. I like this approach better than rushing something to the market, just to have something to put out there. I hope when these get on the market, I can say "Wow...they really thought things out with this one and got it right". That will be worth waiting for if and when it comes to be in our hands.

I like what your saying. But there's 1 BIG problem with this. She did the same thing with the Legend. Which the company has stated they wouldn't do again because they look bad. I get a delay ONCE. But she said months ago this would be out early July. This , after being in the works for at least 3 years I'm aware of. So here we are...the middle of Aug.... AGAIN. When a company says their going to do something , I expect them to be true to their word.

Here’s the latest info I’ve heard. I'm not a Nokta guy so don't have a dog in this hunt, but on a recent (Aug) Treasure Talk Digging Report, Karen from the 2Sisters YouTube channel was on. She looked excited & after being introduced, she quickly said “Phil “I do have a scoop for you”, then said “Nokta is about to release 2 new detectors “This Fall”, they’re both gonna be pulse induction, Gold, Relic, etc. She then said she got this information directly from Alyshia, a Nokta Nomad at the Detecting Michigan seeded hunt.

Fast Forward to 8:38 -

Karen also said that she posted a video of her conversation with Alyshia “Nokta: 2 NEW Detectors Coming SOON!” So I headed to her channel to watch that video. She’s speaking with Alyshia, and Alyshia confirmed what everyone already knows about the 2 new PI’s. Then Alyshia said that Nokta is currently in the hard core testing phase, and that they want to get the PI’s perfected before releasing. Maybe that’s due to Fisher and Garrett, releasing the AQ & Vortex before all the bugs were worked out. But she didn’t mention “Fall” on camera, only would say the detectors are “coming soon”.

Fast forward to 0:30 -

So, on the August Digging Report’s video, Karen mentions she has a scoop directly from Nokta, and says the 2 new PI’s are coming this Fall. But on her channels video, where she’s speaking with Alyshia at the Detecting MI hunt in July, Alyshia seemed to tow the company line and would only say “coming soon”.

Not sure what to make of all this but IMO, 3 possibilities exist:

1. Either Karen misspoke by misinterpreting "coming soon" to mean the Fall.

2. Since a month has gone by since the Detecting MI hunt and the most recent Digging Report, maybe Nokta gave Alyshia the OK to let a Fall release slip to Karen, since we're now getting closer to the Fall.

3. It's also possible that during a private conversation with Karen, either before or after the camera started recording, Alyshia may have let it slip that the PI’s would be releasing in the Fall. She may have said that to Karen privately, but once recording started, she may have been under company orders to stick with saying “coming soon”.

I wouldn’t discount #3, as people tend to say one thing in private, but another thing for public consumption. I think we’ve all done variations of this. If I found 5 gold rings during 1 beach hunt, I may post on the forums that I found these 5 gold rings on the beach, but wouldn’t specify the specific beach. But I probably would give the specifics to a detecting buddy I share hot spots with. There always seems to be 2 stories, 1 story for the general public, and the 2nd, maybe the real story, to let slip in private.
 
There’s also a non-PI coming. A dude in Canada has the beta. They will work on them until they’re fully ready. If you poop coming out of the gate, it will be hard to overcome. Nobody wants another “The Storm.”

I’m glad to know that something is coming and fully expect it to take longer than planned.
Something going on over at XP. We only know this because a new style control box for an Orx replacement leaked in a filing.
I’d hate to buy a new detector and have a new model released a week later.

Yeah, I've heard about that one as well. From what Nokta has said publicly about that one, it's supposed to be a "High-End" detector, probably going head to head with the Manticore.
