From time to time members ask about bags and cases for their detectors and gear.
These hard plastic storage tubs designed to slide under beds can be had for about twenty bucks at the Dollar General.
Right now it is holding an XP Deus, a Nokta Score, 30" shovel, hand digger, multiple headphones and more.

John, thanks for that picture. I am just getting back into MDing and have been looking for a storage solution. I recently went drove to Florida and back, and built a case to hold my detector as disassembled, but to me, that is not an ideal state. No, it doesn't take much time to put it all back together, but that isn't how I want to store it on a regular basis. Mine is all padded with really tough foam for traveling safety, each part isolated. Your picture shows a really nice solution for NOT having to provide for safety. You mentioned that these boxes are designed to slide under beds, but it is also easy to grab and put in the trunk of a car.

KSDirtfisher is working on a hard case to mount to his E-bike, and similar to him, I would like to have a safe way to mount a protected box to my motorcycle at some point, but this cheap box looks really good for a normal daily solution. Thanks for showing the picture.

I had them when the kids were little but the monster under the bed kept pushing them back out. I do like the idea for traveling as there are no monsters in the trunk (boot for west coast guys). I always worry about damage while traveling, so good idea.
