Toys, let's get the lead out...

Good thread to bump, Ice Scratcher. I dug a couple more lead soldiers last year. The smallest guy was dug several years ago. Almost forgot about him!

Wow! Nice finds! I like toy finds.

Need to say i never found a toy solder like many of you did.
Found me enough other kinds of toy finds though, so no need to feel sorry for me.

A small selection of already available images:

I have another one like this named a Caganer. Here more about such ones. https://translate.google.nl/transla...-moderne-tijd/art-kakkertje-moderne-tijd.html
This is an example image. Mine is red (no own image available at this moment).

Nice toys. I had that same soldier with the tommy gun and many others when I was a kid. They date back to at least the early 1950's and possibly the late 1940's. My mother would let me get one a week at the local Woolworth's store.

Super excited to dig a motorcycle dude today! I just went through this thread again. Wow, what a bunch of cool digs! I saw a couple motorcycles, but not this one: I am quite surprised it is intact, and stands upright!
"Blue Rider" hasn't been thoroughly cleaned yet...
