Three George Washington's--Silvers #14, 15, 16

Thank you!

Excellent excellent hunt sir!

Thanks Buellride...It is something how some days turnout, I would of been happy with just one silver, but three...it made my month.

A GREAT way to clean silver using a non abrasive method is: Line a bowl with tin foil. Put 1/4" baking soda in it, lay the coin dirty side up on it. Cover the coin with another 1/4" baking soda, then add boiling water slowly from the side. Let sit 15 minutes, then pick up & gently rub through your fingers. Comes out VERY clean!

Thanks goldpaninut...I tried your method last night, it worked greatly. I was able to restore high luster on the front sides that were smooth to start with. And was able to bring out much and the highlights on the reverse side. I even soaked them over night too. These coins for whatever reason, are pitted, roughen and are somewhat deteriorated. It as though a chemical/metal reaction had occured from the ground. Similar to what salt water will do after a long time to medals. But again, thanks for the very helpful suggestion, the coins are so much better now!

Congrats on the 3 silver GW's, sterling and massive coin haul! That Nox is treating you right I see.

Thanks...Honestly, I really like the NOX. The more I use it, the more we find together. But, what I like the most is how comfortable it is to use even after many hours. And two of those quarters were masked by other metals nearby too.

Congrats on the silver!

Thanks...I was just lucky putting my coil in the right place that day. Now, if only I had more days like that.

Wow, That's an outstanding hunt. Congrats.

Thanks...It is always a trill for me to cleanup my finds when I get home and discover that at least some are of precious metals. It is interesting how some days it all comes at once.

Thank you!

Congrats on all the silver JAK!!!!

Thanks...I may have to hit that site again as to squeak out another silver or two....if I am lucky.

Awesome job on the three GW's and the rest of the finds.

Thanks...It is still hard for me to believe it was three GWs and no dimes as it usually is with me if I find any silver.
