Threaded Piece and Some Camp Lead SOLVED

Looks like the patent date is Mar 25 1909. Says lots of cities on the top including Toronto, NY, Chicago, and one says Japan (not a city, I know).

Ok perhaps someone's googling skills are better than mine. There are three rows of words wrapping around the top. The outermost row says "Brooklyn N.Y. USA-Chicago ILL-London-PNG (or C) -Toronto CAN...."

The middle row says "....OR-GT Britain 3363/OB(?) Australia 14081 MAR 25 09 A USA....."

Innermost says "....Russia, Austria, (FPANG?)...Japan 149..."

Hard to read, but that's what I can make out. Why would so many places around the world be written on it?

I couldn't find any pics either. I sure would like to hold it in my hand to take a better look at it. I hope he can get a patent date.

Found this odd threaded piece. Car part maybe? The ring around the top has a hole it should go through and hang from like a key chain, but I left it as I found it (not in the correct hole). Other item is some camp lead for fun. (probably homeless camp. Doubtful it's civil war)
Looks like a plug

That's crazy. You found what looks like the exact same stopper I found but mine isn't brass.

Did you realize this was from 2015?

Cliff
I didn't know that. Was still trying to research the date. Can you point me towards where you found that info?

DOH! You were referring to the thread, not the plug!
Someone sent me here on a thread of my find. I thought it was cool to see and didn't check the age of the post. Is it some etiquette issue I'm not familiar with?

Oh no, no etiquette issue just occasionally some old posts come up on a search and someone replies to them without noticing. Then they wait from a replay from the original poster. Many times they are no longer around.

As for the plug, I've seen them used on boats from the 30's and 40's.
