Upon arriving back at the Royal Castle after lunch today, KT was greeted by the Royal Guards who informed His Majesty that He had 3 visitors, who were awaiting His Royal Presence in the Castle Courtyard. KT gave the Royal Carriage over to the Carriage Master and went on in to greet these visitors. His Majesty was met by 3 handsome Franklins, dating from 1958 to 1963, apparently brothers. They were retired, but very experienced, shoe cobblers. That peaked KT's interest, because we have no reliable shoe repair shops within the immediate Royal Kingdom. When KT offered to provide them with a rent free building in the local village, they became very excited. They had brought most of their portable cobblers tools with them, and could get the others shipped. KT offered to pay for that shipping but they deemed that unnecessary as they had sufficient funds to get the items delivered. His Majesty requested that they name their shop, the Royal Cobblers, by appointment of KingTotsalot. As they were tired from their journey, KT sent them off the Royal Bathes and their clothes to the Royal Laundry for cleaning and pressing. When they returned they were much refreshed and looked very sharp in their clean clothes. Then the Royal Photographer who had heard of their arrival, came and invited them to sit for a photo. The shop KT has in mind in the village is both empty and has living quarters for the bachelors above their shop. They expressed a desire to see the place, so KT sent them off with a Royal Guard as escort, to the village to view it. Upon returning, they were very happy and most surprised by KT's generosity, so they volunteered to keep the Royal Family in free custom made shoes for the rest of their lives! A banquet is to be held later this afternoon/early evening in their honor. KT called in the Royal Sign Painter and asked for him to work out the design for their shop, The Royal Cobblers!
