Apex Simplex At Pro not even close not in the same ball park as the Equinox! Unless you got money to burn buy once! Equinox. And call Jeff at Quality detectors and save yourself some money. He has the best price period!!!!!!!!!

I have both the Nox 600 and the Vanquish 540. I like them both, but I find myself using the Vanquish more than the Nox. And it was close to half the price

One issue you'll want to consider is salt water. I don't think that the Apex handles salt very well (but I could be mistaken).
