Revenge of the Doane Boys

Just awesome!

Also, your Write up is worthy of magazine publishing!

When that new MD TV show comes out, Reader's Digest or someone will pay top dollar for perspective piece like that!!! Submit it but don't sell it until the craze starts next year.

Has the Discover Channel called you yet to capture this story? Bear Grills would be proud! Love the story, and the treasure! I've been hiking in that area before, what you went through is no joke!!! Great Job!!!

... Wait, for real?

I write a blog about history and also part-time for the newspaper that I work for (normally I work as the librarian) ... hmm ... I wish I could find a way to make money this way.

I've read the post you made on this thread and several of your blog articles. I enjoyed them immensely. Your writing style is very good and I would encourage you to get published. Have you tried sending your article to one of the Treasure Hunting mags?

Great story! Cool finds too. Yeah, when I'm "beeping" I only have a four hour window to go out max! You must have been out ALL day. Must be nice!

Wow, really?

No, I've never really thought about trying to get published ... do you really think a mag would want to print it?

Wow ... so, like, which magazine is the best one?

Cool, thank you, Rudy!

This was on the American Digger site:

"Payment: 3 complementary copies and Business Card or Classified Ad in the issue your article is published"

Haha, cool, better than nothing, right?

Well, you have to admit that the market is small, but it's a start and a way to start your portfolio. The more you get published, the easier it gets to place more articles. You could also branch into other things, or even a childrens adventure book ... something that combines treasure hunting, historical accuracy and a good adventure.
