I'm a car guy and most automotive uses for these have the nut made of of spring steel. This thing is at lest two pieces for brass and doesn't seem to have a working thread up the middle. It seem to have like a key hole shape. Who knows!? Many pieces of things we come up with are never truly get an identity. I appreciate the help!
