DetectorB
New Member
Hi all,
I'm a newbie here and also to detecting. I received my detector (equinox 800) as bday gift from my lovely Wife about 2 months ago. I'm in an area that has Civil War battlegrounds nearby and have had some luck at finding a couple .58cal 3 ringers. I also found this (attached in pics) in one of my hunts where I also found the bullets.
It is very heavy for its size (2.002 oz). It is not as soft as lead but very dense. Can anyone tell me what it may be? It looks to have been ripped off from whatever it was originally attached to from two locations. Side note; (There have been dozers that have knocked down the trees on this site. Could this be something from it???
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Have a great day!
