My homemade plugger

It looks cool. But I just use quarter sticks of dynamite. Why play around when you can PLAY AROUND!!!! LOL

Hmm - That would explain why I once in a while find US coins in Denmark. - Until now I just assumed that they were lost by tourists :laughing:

Nice plugger - I think it might work on some of my spots.

This is what a lot of digging and inventing has let to for me as far as a plugger tool. My Whites Mxt is dead on for pinpointing coins I just place the cup over the find and step on the cup to push it into the ground then lean the handle back to flip the perfect plug about 3x3 . Depending how deep the coin reads I push it in deeper ,coins reading 4 or 5 inches are usually laying in the hole when the plug is flipped. Cant tell I was there after flipping plug back over and stepping on it Another good thing is less time poking and digging around on your hands and knees Less for all the onlookers to see!

I made a plugger last year pretty similar, but it's so large, heavy and awkward that I just went back to my Lesche instead of packing it around. It's also a bear in dry ground to get into the ground. Instead of a push/pull handle I welded the back end of a large caulk gun to a steel pipe so you can just squeeze the handle and the plunger pops the plug of dirt out. Was a pretty neat idea but just too much for me to lug around.

JIMMY SIERRA put one out like that years ago, I looked into getting one but figured with the sandy ground here in florida it would not work well, I tink Jimmys was called HOLE HOG... I was down to Myers Depot and saw FLPHIL (a sponsor on this forum) and he had one simular hanging on his wall in his store...It looks like it would work well in certain siyuations..GL...cliff http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hole-Hog-Metal-Detector-Recovery-Tool-/160893435812

Here's my old setup. The new improved one works great but in the dry they do not work to well. A inch or two unless your Conan and I'm me pee wee Herman. Lol. 3 inch aluminized and I can pinpoint most coins in the center of the tube with my 5x10 dd. when you pull the plug it is very simple to extract the plug by pumping the industrial calk gun( big one) attachment. My 9 year old disabled son could plug a 7 inch deep hole and extract it. Now it is heavy but it equals out with the detector. Just take a towel also to set it and break it apart.
