Guys & gals when I go out detecting I am usually traveling by my ebike.

I was wanting some good protection, incase of a mishap! They can happen quick on a ebike.

So I bought this Pelican 1605 air case to use.

Do you think I should set it up to carry 1 or 2 detectors? I personally would like to carry both.

It is 26" long, 16.5" wide, & 8.5" deep.
It should be deep enough to carry both detectors & 2 coils for each detector.

What would you guys do?

Lmao I am probably loosing my mind 🤯 spending this kinda money on a case.

The detectors are a Manticore & a Nox 900

I'd be worried about snapping the cuff off when case is closed
It has this pull & pluck foam I can remove for the detectors to be nestled down in the foam.

I plan on outlining the detectors on the foam & then removing some foam to cradle/house the detectors.

I'm thinking this will work, I just need to lay everything out.

Dont see why it would not work

me personally i do not like having to put my detectors together when i go out to detect so I just leave all mine fully extended and with the coils I like to use when I am out detecting

I could see using something like that if I was traveling on a plane or on a long trip in a car though

Yeah I had a incident where I was crowded over on my ebike & my Manticore shaft caught a 55 gallon drum trash can & blew the trash can over.

I got lucky it did not break the shaft. I think since it was collapsed is what saved it.

I figured after that incident, I should find a way to protect my detectors when on the ebike.

You did get lucky if it didn't damage the shaft

Well here is where I'm going with this! Right, Wrong, or Indifferent! I'm slowly getting things fitted.

It's got multiple layers of foam to fit/shape to your items.

Niceeee.. luv pelican cases. I was gonna say use toothpicks to outline before plucking. Making 1 cube smaller so it’s tight in places u want. Can always remove a cube if needed. Also can just buy a spare foam to use with other items..or 1 MD and accesories, i have 1 case i use for gun range. Has a foam plucked for 4 handguns. Then also same case diff foam for some high end glass i dabbled in…

Since you are on an ebike (no lockable trunk for valuables), How would you protect the second detector (from theft), while you are hunting with the other one?
Well I have not got that far, the case will be bolted to the bike. Then the case is lockable.

Was wondering the same thing, personally I would be worried the whole time I was detecting that I was going to come back to an empty case

@KSDirtfisher it is looking nice, I am still trying to figure out how you are going to fit 4 coils in that though

KSDirtfisher, I am really interested in this, too. I want to be able to take mine with me on my motorcycle and not worry too much if I stop for lunch, or go into a building.... and to lock it onto my bike, so the case won't walk off when I am out hunting. I was just looking at the APACHE brand ones that Harbor Freight carries and couldn't find any long enough for my detector, even taken apart. Gonna have to cross reference how much that Pelican case is. That is a GREAT IDEA, by the way. Hope you get it all sorted out. When you get it done and mounted on your e-bike, I would love to see the final pictures.

I'll be sure to share some completed picks when done. Pelican makes a bunch of different price range cases as well. Some better than others.

I'm waiting on a few things to complete my install. But will be able to have case locked into bike.
