His Majesty's totals that have gone into the Royal Treasure Chest for this year:

90% Ag halves: 258, valued at today's silver prices at $2,688.48.
40% Ag halves: 16, valued at today's silver prices at $ 68.17.
for a total value of : $2,756.65.

Not a bad year's total at all!

I shall probably hate-eth myself come-eth the dawn.................. I squeezed out a paltry sum total of fifty bucks.

I found 1 silver half and bought 1 silver half, so watch out KT!

Seriously though, been fun seeing your posts over the past year, so thank you for those, and nice results indeed. Very nice.

Ahhh... truly wonderful additions to the Royal Treasury, a banner year for Your Majesty! I do notice, Your Highness, that you prefer Silver Halves... perhaps 2025 may allow for the introduction of Standing Liberty lady silvers to compliment your Walking Liberty Halves ladies, and some manly George Washington quarters to add diversity to the Royal Realm, a compliment to the faithful Bens and Kens that seem to regularly seek out your Royal Kingdom.

Oh, sire that would qualify as a Kings ransom. Your coffers are all but bursting my liege. Well done.
Two years ago, KT’s silver acquisitions filled his first Treasure Chest, so His Majesty, in anticipation of continued gains, purchased another Treasure Chest. That is where these gains went into! But KT is happy to add them! Royal Thanks for your comment, hoser, and well wishes for 2025!

No need for that, Laxsaltman! Yours was an honest effort via MDing, where KT’s gains were a reinvestment of social security funds….rather than spending all of it on so called necessities, KT sees these visitors as growth of the Royal Kingdom that will pass wealth onto the next generation…..something to pass some value on, in KT’s elder years. Too many people live from day to day and leave little for their loved ones. Since the advent of Covid, which caused KT to redirect his Royal Efforts from Coin Roll Hunting to playing the bidding game on eBay, KT has continued these efforts.

Ut oh! Competition! Royal Thanks, GroundSweeper! His Majesty is glad to hear that you have enjoyed KT’s posts over the past year! That is encouragement that His Majesty truly appreciates!

Yes, LovestheShiny, KT certainly does like silver half dollars, this came about when KT first began to Coin Roll Hunt, back in 2012. Silver dollars carry a much larger premium over its silver value than half dollars, silver quarters have been so heavily searched that there is little silver left to find, and silver dimes offered too little value per coin to seriously hunt (besides the fact that KT had to squint to read the date!). Few people believed that silver halves might still be in circulation, simply because most people have not seen one in years. Also, folks that inherit coins from loved ones are generally lacking in education pertaining to their inherent silver value, so such collections (jars, bags, accumulations) are dumped in coin machines at the bank to cash them out. By buying boxes of rolled halves and searching them, KT had great success. Unfortunately, Covid ended that and gave the banks excuses not to order halves anymore for His Majesty. That was in 2019. Also, there is now the hassle factor….to store a roll of dimes takes up more space than storing 10 half dollars! Ha ha.

As for diversity, KT often bids on GW halves…and got some this past year, along with some commemorative halves, but collectors usually push the premium way to high for KT to be any serious competition for them. KT is looking for a small premium over the given silver value, so that if they have to be cashed in, His Majesty, or His Royal Heirs do not have to depend on finding coin collectors to sell them to, but either hoarders or refineries.

Dang it man!! You won!
Uhhhh, what did I win Kansashunter? This is not a total relating to MDing, but to His Majesty's continual search of eBay in an effort to purchase silver half dollars. As a word of explanation, KT loved MDing but when He was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, He had a Superport installed and was told no repetitive motion while that was present. It was removed in early 2013, but by that time KT's knees were too weak to get him back off a Totlot surface, without crawling to some equipment and pulling Himself up, so KT gave up MDing and went to coin roll hunting. Did that for 7 years, until Covid came along and shut that off. So by then KT was well retired, and had incoming funds available to play the game on eBay. KT wins about 1 in 50 items He bids on, so it takes a lot of effort to just find the right coins and have a price in mind to pay for them. Out bid most of the time, but KT occasionally wins, and then reports the arrival of these silver people, essentially all half dollars, to the Forum. His Majesty still has the urge to md totlots, but the dang knees just are too weak. But KT does appreciate your enthusiasm! Get out there and get some coins, hopefully silver!
