Cracker Jack started in 1896 the newest thing I found at the site I found this at was 1830About the right size for a Cracker Jack prize and I do think they made metal toys early on.
About the right size for a Cracker Jack prize and I do think they made metal toys early on. at least a hundred years older....
Any other similar sized items? Something that small, if a toy, would have been for use with a doll I would guess. Any dolls or doll parts... might not be metal, could have been wood or ceramic? Other items of similar size... knife, pistol, pot, pans, etc.? If not a toy, then I would have to lean towards the other comment about Woodmen.THEY SEAM TO BE TOY AXES.... EVEN THE BADE IS TAPERED. MANY HAVE A HOLE IN THE BOTOM OF THE HANDLE.... ANYONE ELSE DIG THESE?
Here are the two I've foundMy buddy has dug a few of them. If l remember correctly they were for the Order of Woodsman.
