So this morning I went back to a small city park where I found a colonial shoe buckle last weekend. I wasn't finding much in the other areas of the park so I went back to the little field where I found the shoe buckle and I pulled up 1/2 of a Spainish Real. I knew it was a Real as soon as I saw it but I wasn't sure what type until I did some research.
I believe what I have is a 1736 Philip V Spainish 2 Real, all of the markings are matching up perfectly. I wish I had the other half but I'll take a half of one any day....
I never dreamed I would ever find one but here it is. I also found a button which I haven't identified yet, I need to do some research on that.
I just bought a NEL 5 x 9 sharpshooter coil for my T2se to help me sort through trashy sites like this and it's paying off in a big way.....
I think I have a new honey hole.....
