Hope this hasn't been posted yet. Here are a few .56 caliber Spencer cartridges. Enjoying seeing everyone's goodies.
Never found one of these till last year, hit a spot that was on the retreat route of Braggs army out of Ky after the battle of Perryville and scored about 30-40. These bullets will ALWAYS have a mold scar on the side of the body. Spoke recently to a reknowned bullet collector dealer and he says these have been identified as a product of a Nashville Tn lab.
Those ste cool bullets. They kept the brass & reloaded them. But the anticipation is so much fun!
Here's a .50 Maynard, one of my first "non-typical" bullets.
oops forgot the pic LOL
OK buddy I've recovered two different star base bullets. One small & one big. I'll look though my stuff & post them if its OK. Also I've got five & six spoke pressed & turned bullets. Just have to dig them out & take pics of them. Nice bullet anyway. HH TIMCool, glad ya'll are liking the thread!
Here's a 58 cal three ringer Washington Arsenal star base, my first one found on Cole's hill in 2011.
Who's next?
Here's one I need some help on the I'd. Looks similar to the Sage Waterproof in M+M book. Measures .431 dia. / .665 length with flat base. What do ya'll think?

Sorry the size of the star is different. Not the caliber.Hmmm.. looks similar but different. Don't know on that one!
Don't know as I've seen a star base in anything other than 58. That's cool! Post it when you find it! I actually just dug another 58 star base yesterday. Only good find for the day so I doubt I'll make a full post on it. So... much... aluminum... lol.
OH RIGHT! A new bullet. How about a ringtail sharps?
Sorry the size of the star is different. Not the caliber.
Found in Union defences of Cincinnati
Cool! Whats the base on that one look like, Wolf?
Here's a deep plug-base Enfield that still has the bullet extractor or wiper still attached to it.
I was able to stabilize the iron wiper from further rust. After 151 years and they're still sleeping together.
