How do I get more depth out of the D2 with the 11” coil.

Running the silver slayer program. Depth maxes out at 8”. I need more depth and I’d at depth.

My ctx is deeper and maintains its I’d capability.

Coin hunting in dry land.

For more depth on high conductors, use Deep HC as the base program, same SS notch & audio settings, lower your reactivity as low as the site allows. I usually run mine at 1. Getting a good signal and an accurate ID in the 10" range should be no problem in mild soil.

Thanks dwayne

I’ll give deep hc a try.

I lowered reactivity to 1.5 in silver slayer. I’ll see what deep hc does.

I can detect this spot one maybe 2 more times before it becomes a parking lot.

It has 1800’s activity that’s hard to come by in my area.

Hi!
Some questions:
What is your GB?
Is there iron in the ground?
What is your the firmware version on D2?

For max depth, even in moderate iron, lower your Reactivity and swing slow. I have the 13X11 coil and will often hunt with Reactivity at 0.5 and will pull some deep goodies from the iron patches.
Almost EVERY video I watch on the D2 people are missing ground (a lot of ground!) and swinging too fast for those conditions. It takes a considerable degree of patience and experience with the D2 to be able to pull coins from the toughest of areas. Excellent advice Lodge.

All I can say is, id love to hunt some of these places where guys in these videos swing their detector like a bullwhip and miss 3 ft of ground every swing. Then they complain about how the lower shaft sucks on the detector. As far as I know, accelerator pedals will generally go all the way to the floorboard but it isn't always (or better yet seldom) practical to do so. Maybe it's just me but it seems the faster most of these guys swing the detector the more ground they miss.

I always chuckle when I see these guys swinging that way in their videos, then they act like finding something at their site is a big deal because they’ve supposedly already hunted it out. One YouTuber in particular comes to mind.

Who’s that DeWayne? Let me guess, his name starts with a Pay and ends with a Streak….am I at least close?🤨😆

As has been said lower the reactivity to as low as the ground will permit. I have mine usually no higher than 1 unless I'm mired in iron. .5 is okay but good targets may sound a little trashy. Every notch on the reactivity is about a half inch or so of depth they say.

Tomorrow will be my first time back.

I'll let you know what I figure out tomorrow.

I was already running the reactivity at 1.5 with the silver slayer program. I'll try it at .5 and 1. I took the Deep Hc program saved a new program. Changed reactivity to 1 and notched out 7 to 84.

I did get an 1908 wheat penny on the last trip. I dug 14 coins total on the last trip.

I'm already used to going slow due to using the CTX so long.

I have been using sensi ft primarily, but lately I have been hitting some sites with very deep relics and coins. Sensi Ft goes very deep... BUT... I decided to start trying DEEP HC hi square full tones. reactivity .05, no filter, and no silencer, sensitivity 98.... all I can say is wow!! deep and still gives really good ID!! Going to try 0 reactivity next.
