I was just telling the wife last night before i fell asleep that I was wanting to do some river detecting this weekend and this makes me want to go even more now! The river is super low so hopefully we will have some luck!
 
I just watched this earlier! That is just crazy!!! over 100 something pieces of silver found! CRAzy!!!

I would go back and dig up every low tone. There HAS to be a few gold coins in there. Wouldn't you think??

Excellent idea! Wouldn't that be hilarious if all that "iron" he was passing up was gold coins! :lol: Surely he would have seen the glimmer of gold down there at some point? I remember reading the thread when he was finding those coins, but never thought he would post a video. Great video!

Yep, I would have lost it as well. I think it may be because he's found most types of those coins over the years anyways so it's not as big of thrill? Either way I cannot understand his composure. He just had to be have been more excited on the inside. Just wasn't reflected in the video. I cannot express in words how jealous I am of his find.

If you watch the video's on garrett's website you can see him in a promotional video for the upcoming AT Gold where he and one of the reps for garrett go water hunting. Aquachigger had made a name for himself previous to this find and it is my belief that he was a tester for the AT Gold which means he would have had access to it or been aware of it way before it became available to the public.

could have been stolen loot that got dumped while the robbers were on the run, maybe while crossing the creek/river the horse went down dumping it
