I knew this was coming...it reminded me of the Surf Devil

What it was going to do, how it was going to make other detectors obsolete...

All I needed to see were those amateur hour video's they first put up to know it was not going to make any detector obsolete.

These manufacturers must think we are stupid....

It was entertaining for me though...

I saw a video a few years back from a guy in France. I think his name was Tarter Sauce or something. Showed a detector picking a gold ring out of nails. I thought he's half way there. If it can only pick out gold from pulltabs......I'm all in....

I was thinking of buying one Joe seeing how I was mainly a pulse hunter before I changed my type of hunting... it was sort of like morbid curiosity Then I said I didn't want to waste that money so I never pulled the trigger...

That’s me BAD…. . However, I don’t have the right to beat it up much…. I didn’t buy one. If it comes out at near $2500…. I may not. I honestly have to say my combo is pretty strong since most months are recent drop periods where ya cover a lot of water.

You know it doesn't like the minerals in FL correct? I think it was meant to stay in France... it doesn't like the USA

You should have tried a TDI Beachhunter I got a friend who killing it with the beachhunter... if I can find one I'll go that route...

Oddly enough I used to find gold chains all the time with the dual field. Since switching to the TDI models I haven't found 1 in a couple of years... TDIs are a lot deeper but the DF was hitting gold chains on a regular basis.

My understanding from those I know using it here it’s doable. The issue is none of them have many hours…. They just go back to their VLFs. Their are diehard PI guys here…. But it’s coming right back to …. Not enough disc VS depth and it’s a little to noisy. It may come down to trying to run it way to hot and in the wrong spots. You really have to use a machine….. never sell a machine until it’s paid for its self. I hear hunters say I find very little gold… then you find out they only hunt once a week…. You can’t find it if you ain’t out there. I really hope Fisher cleans up the known issues and don’t water it down to sell more machines. Experienced hunters needs the ability to run it hot.

Having discrimination was not an issue for me... my hunting changed so I needed a detector with disc... when Joe was up here we took him to a beach with a lot of iron... I was sort of not into the hunt because another member here was hunting the area I wanted to hunt so I waited for him to clear out... he hunted a spot with his pulse that filled up his pouch with ferrous junk he did find a silver dime if I remember correctly... So after he left that area I moved in with my Excal and pulled multiple silver and 4 gold...

That guy with the PI is a very good hunter.. Cupajo...



I do have spots I would love to try a deeper detector than my Excal.. I know I am limited using the Excal at times.. I wished I still had my DF even if it was super noisy I could still pick out the deep stuff...

Only reason I clicked with it is because I hunt in All metal with the excalibur and know the places I hunt well.

Ok. In all seriousness , I have only tried the AQ limited for about 15 minutes and saw some potential. It wasn't bad. What is bad , and my issue , is the attitude and chaos surrounding the marketing. I'm not at all confident on the company itself even if the final version makes it out. And then the issue of it's claimed discrimination , let alone if it needs repair.

We all like to think of ourselves as being the best hunter out there. There is a hunter out here who may actually be better than THE KOB , if you can imagine that. I have hunted with him a few times and he is in love with his AQ. But I also think he is the type when leaving his home he says : I'm not coming home until I find gold. He could be out for days , Idk ! He hunts alot more than I do and posts some very good gold scores. But there are a few others who don't use the AQ and they don't post anything. I try to avoid saying "never" , but my eye is on another machine right now that is taking a more serious approach that I will have confidence and trust in. These 2 things are extremely important for any serious beach gold hunter.

Dew owned quite a few pulse machines in the past he must have some knowledge of them... I get Dew... he doesn't like digging a deep hole only to find a prized bobbie pin or other valuable ferrous target...

I’m lazy….. I already know in my conversation like sand a 15” hole can be huge and a lot of work. I’m a pretty quick study and you know I like new machines…. Any idea Joe if they will ever get the production model out? I know I like to kid you guys by knocking the machine. But it obviously works very very well in Joes hands.

Ok it works for Joe but it isn't working for others I doubt they will go full production on a detector that was embellished to be the best of the best... any PI in the right hands is going to find the goods...

I feel bad for Rick... he was taken advantage of... he posted their BS and he took the heat for them...

No Joe...I sold mine to SeabeeRon and he still has it... Mark, brncofan found one mint with a neutral buoyancy coil I should have bought it from him and even though I found 4 gold with it using it twice something didn't seem right to me I wasn't getting deep whispers so I passed on it.... Mark bought it never found gold with it... the gold I found was not super deep a couple scoops but I took it to a spot I found 34 gold over a period of a couple weeks before superstorm sandy ruined it... I took you and Earl there but it was rainy and windy I think Earl found that silver quarter there...
