Bank of America Sucks!

just messing with ya brotha, being that your 16 you will get a lot of flak from certain adults. to them your just a punk kid that they dont have to respect. you handled it a lot better than i would have at 16. leave a review on yelp, or better yet go in with your parents and give the !!!!! a piece of your mind.
That bank employee does not seem to want to grow you into a lifelong customer. I guess you are not important to her unless you have several accounts and are making the bank richer with all the additional fees, late charges and interest fees.

I used to do my coin rolling at BBT before they merged with Suntrust. The tellers were nice. One was really nice and saved silver coins for me to exchange and star notes. Once she gave me twenty star notes, brand new in serial number order of $5 bills. When I say gave me, she allowed me to buy them at face value. I would about once a month bring in a box of assorted chocolates for the 4 tellers. She told me they are not allow to exchange silver or star notes to themselves, but it was ok to do it for customers.

I was NOT gonna post here seeing this was resurrected from a decade ago..all this bank and coin talk hit home right at the same time i was trying to get 1$ coins. In search for couple error coins or key dates. I use a public national brand name bank and a local credit union. I never really go inside the credit union as it my personal and everting is digital nowadays days. My regular bank never has half dollars rarely ever any 1$ coin rolls. I’m there weekly or every 2 weeks minumiun. Just happened that last week teller said she had bunch of 1$ coin rolls. I took them.. during my coin searching,This post was resurrected. Knowing I didn’t want to return these coins to the same bank. Y’all sparked a light bulb in me. I decided to walk in to my credit union. They have a coin machine. Free up to 200$ worth for mememebers. Then it’s 5%. Same if u deposit coins at the teller. Seeing how i had the 1$ coins already rerolled. I deposited the 200$ max not to get charged the 5%..then asked for half dollars rolls.. she said hold please let me check the vault. Says YES WE HAVE PLENTY!!! Soooo i asked for the same 200$ worth back. That was kinda painless but i had more than 200 worth of coins and need to return to make a separate coin deposit to avoid that 5%.. soooo thanks to a 11 year old post i scored 1 SILVER HALF.. so TYVM Friendly gang…I’m sure i was just lucky. Not sure the odds of finding 1 out of 400 coins…i will be trying again.

The key trick for finds is to hunt volumes. I had several banks hold customer-rolled dimes for me, I’d make the rounds once or twice per month, then sit down with $2k or $3k at the least. I can unroll, search and re-wrap a $5 roll in less than ten seconds. At the end of about 4 years I had over 700 silver dimes and even more silver 50 cent pieces.

AMC RULZ is absolutely correct, volume is where the silver is recovered. KT hunted $2500 (5 boxes) of halves every week for 7 years. That is what built the Royal Treasury from a small silver beginning to a major horde at this state. But when it all stopped, KT did not, as He began searching for bargains on eBay, and still has some luck now and again, still adding to the Royal Horde! For awhile, KT had a flea market dealer as his supplier of 90%ers, but it got to where he had to pay more than what KT was willing to, so that ended also. Now it is still eBay and a few bargains. The recent rise in silver values has slowed down KT's intake, but not stopped it as there are still a few bargains to be bid on!
