Bad Hunt Turned Great! I'll Never Top It! IT IS A FIRST EVER!

Awesome!!! Congrats on finding a VERY DIFFICULT find, possibly a once in a lifetime. Enjoy the moment but don't retire yet! There's a gold coin out there with your name it...

Not in this town. A majority of my hunts consist of tot lots and one park and school yards so there's a very slim to none chance of finding a gold coin. Most of what I find is clad and zincolns! :p I lucked up on a gold class ring almost two years ago now and I was able to return it!

Me get a gold coin? -- Wishful thinking! Only in my dreams!

Since I don't use the AT Pro very often due to its weight (need a 5X8 coil) -- 90% of the time I use the Compadre! Having two bulging discs in my back, I can't swing the AT Pro more than about an hour. I wanted to be prepared for what to expect with the signals I was going to get. So I did a test in my front yard with a variety of coins and such. And I wrote down the "numbers" I got on each item. I neglected to list the silver dollar -- mainly because I didn't have one! :p So I was TOTALLY unprepared for the signal I got (88-92) on this silver dollar. I totally expected it to be an aluminum can or some other giant piece of trash! Boy was I shocked. Now I have to ADD these numbers to my list!

I love it! Good story. Good treasure! Welcome to the club too. I got a peace dollar last year. They sure are an impressive coin. Also my first and only so far. I also have found Kennedy halves, but not a silver one yet. Let's race to see who finds a silver half first! Ready...go!
Ya just never know what lurks beneath the surface...
