I for one am glad you took the right steps. But I would still forward that email to the cyber crimes unit in your area. All IP addresses are traceable.
I had been away during the winter and I missed everything, from reading all of the posts, he seemed a bit intriguing.

You did miss it.
Over the last few months it was like a train wreck in slow motion.
You could just feel the hackles on members necks rising with every weird thread.
To me, comical, to others, not so much.
The fact that he admitted he got rid of his detector months ago but still used this forum to sell his coins really riled up some dander around here.
The fact that he whined and complained about almost anything and everything didn't help.
I mean really...we already have our lovable Bonesquat for that stuff!
Too funny...Thanks for the update. Sorry I was away.

Carol and Vlad made a backup forum in case Defecto's threats were implemented.
"operation blackout" is supposed to be initiated on March 31.
Wonderful work of justice! Situation was handled well and in the most effective and efficient manner possible!
I can not help but wonder about the threat placed upon our forum. I'm hoping it is an idle one, but we know not! Well actually we do, considering that it's now the 26th. Curious that this was mentioned however, as Anonymous's "operation blackout" is supposed to be initiated on March 31.
Anyway, thank you for the share! I'm glad to have read the goings on and how well the issue has been dealt with.
Thank you!!
Wednesday nights for me .Strangely enough, that is also what I, Beerdoodle, and many other members call a typical Friday night.
Weird, huh?
I would hate to run into this guy while metal detecting , hopefully those who live near or around him don't and great job mods thanks for sharing.
I actually know of a guy that is active on another forum that lives in CM's home town.I would hate to run into this guy while metal detecting , hopefully those who live near or around him don't and great job mods thanks for sharing.
Seems he's not alone in his desire to disrupt the internet, and looks like the attack is not only for this site.
