Hi DT, what number did you call, and do you know who you talked to? One of our 800 numbers routes you to the nearest distributor, not the factory. In any case, the PP runs at roughly 12kHz.

Hello Carl,
Yes I do know who I talked to.
He boasted that he was Jimmy Sierra's son.
I called a friend of mine that has been detecting for over 50 years and told him how I was treated.
He said,"Not to tell tales out of school, but Jimmy Sierra is a complete a$$, sounds like his son is the same way."
The jerk made fun of all of us, said we represent 1% or less of the metal detecting public.
Called us nerds. He said that their new pinpointer doesn't interfere with any of their machines, and that is all I need to know. He said it is meant to used by White's users and be purchased by White's users.
He said that their focus is on first time buyers, people new to the hobby.
I countered with that we are not nerds, we are advanced and experienced users, and that we are responsible for bringing a great many new users to the hobby. I also mentioned that they leave money on the table having a goal of selling their new pinpointer to just 20% of the people in the field detecting, why not instead have hopes that users of all makes of machines will buy one?
When I mentioned forums he said that people that post on forums spend their time posting and don't go detecting often, reason being they spend their time on the internet not out detecting.
He was rude, condescending, and insulting.
My friend told me that many years ago he wrote a letter to Ken White to tell him that Jimmy Sierra was not a
good representative of his company. He told me that it sounds like it's time to write a letter to Ken White to inform him that Jimmy Sierra's son is not a good representative of his company.
That is one letter that I will be sure to write no matter what.
There is no way that anyone should be treated like I was treated on the phone by any employee of any company.
I'm sorry that I made that call in the morning, it ruined my entire day.
I figure you are Carl Moreland. I figure that because I am part of a group where the average experience in metal detecting is about 40 years. I myself have only 29 years in the field, but I hoping I have another 20 left in me before I cash in my chips.
Sorry about this sour report Carl.
I hope it doesn't ruin your day the way it ruined mine.
PS: My friend that has 50 plus years experience detecting......
He knows you, John Earl, Dave Johnson, and Jimmy Sierra.
He's been around the block and back again a couple of times.
And yes, he designs and builds his own machines from scratch.
