Whites *UPDATED* NEW Pinpointer

As long as the new Whites PPr gets a solid 3 inches in the ground and is stable, I will get one. 3.5" or four inches would be better though. I will believe it when I see it though.
I'm wondering about performance differences when running with a 9V vs 2 AA. I'd be really surprised if it performs the same using both. Not only that, but I REALLY wonder about using two RECHARGEABLE AA's in it with the lower voltage of rechargeables....

pinpointer

I wont do any vids til whites put it out for sale. air test is what I did.. also had a few targets in ground that the new whites was able to hit solid and garrett never made a peep. im not sure exactly how deep in ground it goes but I do know it is deeper in ground than gpp

Nothing personal toward you...all this skull-duggery, which has been White's normal protocal, is silly. Nobody shoulda had field tests before Whites did a formal announcement, which they have done, right? It feels to me like politics and where they leak sneaky and illusive tidbits. Silly I say. martin

Sort of like movie trailers?

You forget Minelab did that with the CTX. I'm still wondering which all testers were scared to say they had problems in the surf before the saltwater program for the CTX and let it slide through the cracks. Took Gravediggermax 5 minutes to find that flaw:laughing:

The comparisons I watched on Utube were from an independent hunter, and in the dirt.

Not every one watches those boring Utube videos made by independent hunters that wish to promote themselves.

see if I made a video no one would watch it anyway.. and no I don't advertise for whites.. but whites just like most other companies uses word of mouth/forums to sell.. ive used whites for 35 years and use other brands also. if something is good I say so.. if its not I say so. you can choose to believe me or not its all good... the modes are accessed through the power switch. the guts are held inside with 1 screw, remove screw and all the insides slide right out.. from my understanding the electronics are mxt components.. its tip sensitive then once you reach a metal object near where probe meets main body its sensitive at that point also...but using power switch can change it to tip only..

Id like to buy one just to have a back up and compare it to the Garrett pro pointer.

I will do a video in my shop when I get them in stock. I will compare it to the other Pin Pointers I sell - Garrett PP, Pistol Probe, Minelab ProFind, Fpoint, DX-1
Hopefully it won't be boring! HH, phil

Maybe use something that has the pointers stationary and a target swings across in front of it? Drives me nuts watching someone testing a pistolprobe and slowly moving a coin towards the probe. They don't work that way:lol:

I do like

The option of using 2 aas instead of a 9 v, as the aas are less costly, we will see how it performs over the Garrett, all the hype-same thing when Minelab talked up their new pointer, but as some people tested it, from what I here, wasn't so impressive , time will tell, White's was due for a more hand friendly pointer other than the Bulls eye 2, hope this is a :dingding: ,if It equals, or is better than the Garrett with improved performance, than it might be worth buying one :imo: Earl (for me just the aa option vs 9v with the same performance as the Garrett ,it would be in my line up) ( FlPhil we look forward to the comparison thank you )

What has White's said about the "frequency" of this unit?

Pinpointers range from 7,2Khz to 100Khz, just wondering what frequency this one is.

Yes not everyone watches them. Just those of us who want direct, real life, side by side comparisons before they plunk down $100+.

Cool thing about youtube is you can get to know detectorists who have been detecting for 30 years and will tell it like it is. Some of them are like family. Not talking about the one who got sponsored by Garrett and has to hide his F75.

* Bad Experience *

I made the mistake of calling White's and asking what frequency thier new pinpointer operates on.

Brother, I was not treated well to put it mildly.
Down right unfriendly and pretty insulting to put a finer point on it.

This pinpointer, the MXT, and the GMZ are all off my to get list.

I've lost "all" interest in any of White's products after that phone call.

Tesoro & Fisher have for years treated me like family, Garrett has alway been friendly and helpful when ever I had a question.

White's, well,....I guess they are doing so well in business that they can treat people poorly and just go on with their day.
