I keep all my detectors and accessories in my car all the time. I have an Outback so I just use the cargo area cover to keep them out of sight.
Does anyone had any problems leaving them in the heat of a car? I wouldn't mind leaving it in there but I am worried that the sun and a closed car would get to hot for it.
I've left my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV in the car all summer long and it seems fine. Just used it last weekend. It just needed new batteries since it was on its first pair since 2009. And my Garrett Ace 250 been in the car all month it is fine too. I live in New Orleans and it is pretty hot. But if you live in the desert it might be different.

!!!!!!! first set of batteries since 2009??????? Man, you don't get out and hunt enough!
My BH Tracker IV is with my antique Compass Coin Hustler I in the back seat of my Royal Taco Chariot ready to hunt and my Fisher CZ20 is in the downstairs closet still waiting to be revealed to The Queen!
You just put the car in gear, press the gas pedal, and the tread will start rollin'.I am trying to figure out how to start a tread. Is a tread started by someone putting your post as a new tread?
