Where is your Metal Detector?

I keep all my detectors and accessories in my car all the time. I have an Outback so I just use the cargo area cover to keep them out of sight.:hide:

My ATPro is covered in wet grass in the back seat of my SUV waiting for lunch. As soon as I move the kayak paddles out of the hatch area it will stay there during the day and come in at night to get cleaned up.

Mine is next to my gun cabinet when it is not being used. I am new to this hobby and I love it, but unfortunately I will be pulling the batteries out of the ACE-350 in ten days, on the 14th of October. Black Powder deer season opens on the 15th. See you next year ACE, it's been a great first season!!!

Does anyone had any problems leaving them in the heat of a car? I wouldn't mind leaving it in there but I am worried that the sun and a closed car would get to hot for it.

I've left my Bounty Hunter Tracker IV in the car all summer long and it seems fine. Just used it last weekend. It just needed new batteries since it was on its first pair since 2009. And my Garrett Ace 250 been in the car all month it is fine too. I live in New Orleans and it is pretty hot. But if you live in the desert it might be different.

Tuyet:)

Well that's because I had a baby in 2009 and now that he is walking and talking, I can get out a little more. :) I just got to hunt 2 full days this pass weekend and it felt great even though I didn't find much and digging took up most of the time. But no worries the PP & Lesche is on its way!

Mine are cleaned and in their soft cases in the study closet. Last I heard, the White's was talking about doing some relic and old coin hunting tomorrow morning.:cool12:

HH

In a soft case in the port side quarter berth along with all the other stuff I don't have any other place for on my boat. But it can be "deployed" on a moments notice.

My Metal Detector

My detector is next to my dresser. Keeps a eye on me at night. The head phones talk to it all night long makes it hard for me to sleep. I am giving it a thought about the two old houses around the corner and up the street. Posted for sale real run down commercial property . White's dealer in town I am wondering have people already been over the ground in looking at the houses I didn't notice any signs of someone digging there.

M6 by White's I can get a DXF for $500 hoping the guy comes through on buying my mig welder or the electronic dent pulling system and I will go buy it. Be nice to have a good back up detector.

Where I keep my best detector

I keep my best detector at the White's dealship. They keep it clean and ready to go.

Currently I use a M6 by White's kept at home by my dresser. I have heard vehicles get too hot for detectors and can damage them . I won't take chances like that with my little buddy. Would you leave your hunting dog in a hot vehicle all day? Or grandma?
