Updated again - more rings from the same beach - that's almost 100!!!!!!

Those are some amazing finds.
Most of the rings to me look Native American.
I remember the first swastica ring...
But if nobody noticed.
Theres another one in the second set (??) of pictures Sam posted.
It has the Earth in the middle and the swastica with arrows on each "branch" if you will.
Some sweet finds man.
I've not found a single ring in the year I ave actively been MDing.

My son and I went to the "spot" for about an hour. He used the Excal II and I used the CZ-21 as usual.
He didn't fair very well with the Excal but I was able to pick up a few targets really deep...

A teeny tiny ring

Another religious token - brass

And some decent coins...

Seems they had a very wide selection of .22 cal ammo too
(I didn't pull all these in one hunt)
22 shells.jpg

I also found this funny looking thing...it seemed REALLY out of place at this lake...
(I know it's an earring)

The funny thing is...after 50 years terrorizing the Minnesota area...they never CAUGHT the Left-Hand killer. All the bodies were recovered...but their severed left hands remain lost.
Only the killer knows for certain...

It gets better

Thanks for the replies and the insight. I did well again this evening. No complaints from me!!!

Congrats mate

This really tiny (1/4" across) State of Minnesota button

I will return to the "mine" in the morning. For some reason I felt "rushed" this evening.
I will do better tomorrow.

After checking your message Sam, i went straight to the thread for update and it just blew me away. This thread will continue forever Ha!

Thanks Hiddenheraldics!!
And so it has continued...Even as windy as it was today I did score a few good targets!

I saw an older gentleman on in the park and I stopped to talk to him on the way out. I asked him how many Barber coins he had found - he said "What's a Barber?" I explained it to him and he responded - "All that stuff is deeper!"
My point is - that is where all the old stuff that I am finding is. My scoop allows me to maximize the amount of sand/rock that is taken out with every scoop. So don't stop digging after you recover your initial target - take a few more scoops out and then check the hole again.
I hope I can find some more tomorrow. I have REALLY been hitting this spot hard.

I use the CZ-21. Everything has been found in the water - ankle to knee deep. Seems that even with low batteries the unit still performs well.
I love this machine. I have the Excal II also - but the CZ, in my opinion, blows it away...

I spent three hours hunting today. I spent over an hour in one of the holes. I dug 4 holes all together. Here is what I found...

This came up in two pieces

YOU SIR WIN THE FORUM!

Everyone go home back to your pitiful detector spots and just remember Master Sam is indeed the master of the finds, and anything you find he can find better!

All joking aside, this is amazing, congrats, I could'nt even imagine how you have been feeling lately with all these goodies (besides tired).

Congrats on yet more finds! This is quite an impressive swimming hole you have located! A final picture of all of the treasure will be in order!

Hmm...I don't know. You need to keep your eyes open a little while longer! There are some here that can really pull the goods. See if you can locate Aquaman's 2009 Year in Review post....talk about an affordable hobby! And you never got to see angellionel in all of his glory. And take a peek at some of HEAVYMETALNUT's posts...they're up there as well! :D HH

Thanks for the replies!
I am just a newbie. This is my first year doing this. I credit a lot of my success to the equipment I use and the patience I have in the hole.
I admit I am getting better at the signals but how "good" do you have to be when you dig every target????

And yes - I will organize some sort of final pic. My kids have gone through and sorted the rings - gold, silver etc...so I have to "unsort" them. And I will be digging until the weather forces me to stop so it may be a while yet.

Am I taking this too far? Should I keep posting this thread? Say the word and I will stop.

Well, that's what it takes to be successful:
1. Learning your machine.
2. Digging all targets until you feel you have learned your machine.
3. Practice, practice, practice!

Keep posting, man. You're doing great!
