Updated again - more rings from the same beach - that's almost 100!!!!!!

Things were a bit slow today as I dug my targets. I kept thinking about that dude...
No "rings" today...I know. I did manage the next best thing though.

I continued searching really slow and I was able to find this little brass star. It was folded in half when I found it.

I found this 1946 Quarter in my sifter bin too (with the brass star)

And another locker tag. The eight looks inverted to me

I also found this really old shotgun shell. I think that's a primer pin sticking out the side of it

Here is a bit of a very ornate piece of tableware

And of course, no hunt would be complete without these

I actually did have fun. I really hope I can continue to hunt this spot freely. Man, growing up I thought living in America was better than this...

Sam... Just change your name !!!!!

I re-baptize you:

Lord of the Rings.:lol::lol:

your good luck ring should date before 1939

I have swastika coin from a amusement park in pa.They stopped using symbol after hitler came to power.I pulled a dozen gold and silver rings out of a park beach once and several hundred coins in one hunt.In recent years seems some one else found my spot. Was going to hunt it when they drained lake but idiot lady fell and broke her arm then sewed them for letting here md.I never went back after that.Lady should be shot.

Like I was telling my water hunting bud. Why don't they just pass a law saying you can't sue!!! For anything!! You are in the park at your own risk...Didn't it used to be that way?

has to be a part of the beach where some currents or rips come together. anyway...awesome finds.....keep going back...HH

Patiently awaiting an update from todays hunt....*tap tap tap*...well...where is it???

Hehehe, hope you had a good one bud,

CTKidd

I am heading over there now. We went to that other spot that I researched today. Yesterday wasn't as productive as I had hoped it would be - I only hunted for an hour or so, I didn't feel as comfortable as I used to. I feel better now. I will spend a couple of hours there this time and post my results in a later this evening.

Man you have been doing a GREAT job hunting that lake! I still am amazed with all the stuff you pulled out of there!! Keep it up! Congrats on all of your finds!!!

Wow! That is quite the collection of pictures! :wow::shock:

What a productive spot! There has got to be more there!

You should def get everything together and put it in a nice little pile and take a picture so we can all see it in it's glory. You've found more than all of us I'm sure in one little spot, cept Arthur C., king of silver. You're king of gold though. :)

Absolutely not. For instance - the guy I hunted with today has one heck of a collection - and is very skilled - going for himself! I am nowhere near that level yet. I really appreciate the compliment but I do not deserve it. Not yet. Maybe in a few years. I am still learning - every day.

Thanks.

Sorry, I fell asleep last night. So here are my results from the past couple of times I went out.

This looks like it's from a Valentines bracelet - brass

I found a couple of religious tokens - they are the same size, small

Here is the second one - not gold I tested it

Here's a really cool brass anchor button

I think this is a slug for a shotgun, it weighs 21.9 grams and is lead - it seems rather short though

This rather large vertabrae ended up in my scoop - it's as big around as a dime and it stands seven dimes tall...

I found a couple of silver coins

I also found one marble - a blue one

It's becomng harder and harder to find targets now. Need some really strong winds to come through and "mix it up" a bit. Might even be next spring before it's becomes a producing spot again. Maybe we have taken most of what was there. The old things will never get replaced, what is there is all there is...

Just wondering if you know what if any chemicals are in the water you are hunting. Most of the finds seem to havs some significant pitting. Even the gold looks a little pitted. Is something in the water acidic or does that just happen to these older finds? Good job on the finds though. Must be fun.

Sam, incredible finds. You say its hunted out, but what I wouldn't give for a day like that. Keep at it man, until you come back skunked I say keep hitting it.

Still would like to see a shot of everything togather on one table.

Good job man,
CTKidd

Putting a shot together on a table would be kinda tough, all the coins and most, 98%, of the small things I have found I have put into the white, square coin protectors and I have written information on them. The image would take doctoring (editing) and wouldn't look like others you have seen...

Just pick up a few quarter sticks of dynomite, light 'em, and chuck 'em in the lake! That'll move stuff around :D
