Is this a simple case of finders keepers? Or is it going to lead to years of litigation from the state and federal government, insurance companies, archaeological people and on and on...?

I would guess the laws in the US are different to those here.

It's theirs...they are legally working a site. There is a way to do it...cost lots. And most treasure gone or too deep in sand I suppose. Hh gl -Joe
