The Hurricane of 1715...

The state took 20%. The rest was divided accordingly. I was only the diver, so I had very little skin in the game, but I did walk away with a nice little pile of gold coins, and a big fat check for my percentage of the sale of the Royals.

Awesome! I so dream of learning to scuba dive and do this for awhile.

Scoundrel

The way i figure it, from your proceed's , you now can afford your own pirate ship, have you ever once thought about having your own vessel , your own dive crew, hitting the mother load once again, i am sure the captain get's even a bigger cut, NOW that your famous , the Question is , IS there a chance this will happen , than make your own series , watching Cooper's Treasure, cool show , but they need more , what they don't have is Scoundrel, happy anniversary bro., Kip Wagner look out, happy hunting , Earl :detector::kingdances::pirate2::thumbsup::bowdown:

Very awesome. I have hunted all along form Vero to well north of Sebastian Inlet and haven't found squat. Of course I knew not to venture into the water or into the dune areas. Would have loved to been part of that find. Way to go!!!

After the first day, finding 250 coins, you had to wonder if you picked the low hanging fruit or just scratched the surface. You probably couldn't sleep knowing/wondering if there was more.

I just watched the video again. That arm-deep crevice looked challenging. Perfect place for gold to hide.

Happy anniversary Scoundrel. We look forward to seeing more!

Thanks surfmaster. I got out of the business. Let's just say, the winds changed direction. No regrets. I did it for 4 summers and it was one of the greatest periods of my life.

You have no idea. After 10 hours on the boat, a huge Sushi dinner, and about 4 or five blunts, I was completely exhausted. Probably went to bed around 11 or 12. Sleep did not come. I just laid there wide awake like I had drank a six pack of 5-Hour Energy. At about 2 a.m., which was 300 years to the hour, that the ships sank, Jonah and I went out on the front porch and smoked a blunt. It was very surreal. We were sworn to secrecy, but we were very aware of the significance of the find, not to mention the date that it was found. We already new that we were going to be in the history books. At about 4:30 I finally dozed off and got about an hour and a half of sleep. And yes we had no idea what else was in the water. That subject dominated the conversation for most of the night. And the thought of what else could be down there was just as exciting as what we had found. We just did not know, and we could not wait for the sun to come up so we can get back in the water. The atmosphere was electric.

Well

I gotta say the tides change, you found what we have dreams of, ya never know, one day you might get the 1715 fleet fever and return with your own pirate salvage ship, whatever the future brings , i wish you the best friend, thanks for sharing all these years , your the best, Earl PS I thought when you have done that magnitude of treasure hunting , like the old 7 guy's that used to do it, now gone, it's in your blood bro., NO TURNING BACK :pirate2::pirate2::pirate2::workforgold::stormy: I got out of the business. LOL a few weeks ago you were looking for diver's :laughing::laughing:

Thanks everybody. Here's a little contest for you. In the picture of the pile of gold coins on the green cloth, I spotted two of the coins that I got in my division. To the first member who picks one of those coins, I will send a piece of shipwreck pottery and a musket ball. You only get one chance.
