I would only add that the upgrade to a 400 from a 250 is 100% worth it ,, I wouldn't pay new prices though I'd buy on craigslist or ebay.Haha, that's funny! A shepherd's wary curiosity as he investigates a "threat" can be so amusing.Nice photo!
And thanks for replying to my question about using an Ace on the beach. I agree, sometimes efficiency on a simple machine takes you much farther than inefficiency on an advanced one. The Ace 250 works well for my style of hunting, so I enjoy using it; but with the release of modern technological advancements, it no longer seems to be the topic of much discussion online. That's understandable, but it's nice to hear now & then from someone who operates a detector like mine. So I appreciated hearing your thoughts!

Hmmm... I'm not budgeting for a new detector right now, but that's good to know. Is that because the 400 has Iron Audio, Target ID, and adjustable frequencies, or are you thinking of other reasons that I haven't considered?
That and better depth, larger coil. Iron audio is nice, target ID a game changer coming from the 250. If it had a backlight and adjustable volume, I'd consider it the perfect mid range detector.

Well,wife and i are not planing on another pooch due to our old age. Both of us are in poor health.It has been hard for me not to have another pooch since I have had pups since I was knee high to a grass hopperThat's a good looking pup I had to bury my friend 2020 xmas eve. It was like burying a child he showed more love for me than my owned kids. Life has been a struggle for me ,but at 82 time is closing in fast.Love your pup and maybe I will see my " Chilimac"on the other side.james45

Went for another last hurrah at the beach with temps in the 50's, found this heartstopper Gucci bracelet, very solid no corrosion but I am seriously doubting if it is legit. Its a Gucci, no marks, I'm just not feeling it for this thing. Nice anyhow, don't know how I missed it all the times I've been there, it was barely even covered by sand.
Also found what looks to be some kind of amulet necklace charm, or maybe a vial of cyanide ! Weird, also found a birth year quarter, that doesn't happen too often.
