Nokta Impact information

Once again smarter words have not been said. People are just asking for a different type of testers. The same old ones are getting... well, old.

Send one the Captain Silver and let him put it through the paces. If it is as good a machine as claimed it would go a long ways to satisfy the vast silent majority. Which are really the ones who should be your target in the first place. They are the ones who make or break detector models.

Yeah and the locations vary in results each person. I was thinking about a Deus until my friend who has been detecting for 40 years said he hated both of his and sold them. Of course he also sold a DFX bigfoot coil for a couple hundred bucks without telling me and about krapped when I told him what they sell for now:lol:

I have been hunting for 25 years and consistently find about as much as anyone else on this forum. Just because I don't have 10,000 posts on here does not mean I don't know as much as others. I would love to be a tester for any manufacturer. Where do I sign up?

Send this person a private message.

I will PLEASE ask all to stop this on-going discussion about the testers.
I will repeat this for the last time - THE TESTERS WERE NOT PICKED TO TALK ABOUT THE DEVICE. They were simply picked to HELP US IN TESTING THE PRODUCT under different conditions and give us feedbacks so we could update/modify/change the software/hardware/mechanicals of the machine before going into production. WE HAVE NEVER ASKED and/or REQUESTED them to post anything on public forums- NEITHER HAVE WE ASKED and/or REQUESTED them NOT TO POST anything after we made the announcement. WE ONLY ASKED THEM NOT TO POST ANY VIDEOS UNTIL WE FINALIZED THE SOFTWARE so that there are not any videos going around showing the earlier versions of the software - which would be misleading for the potential customers. After the software updates were done, WE TOLD THEM THAT THEY COULD WRITE WHATEVER THEY FEEL ABOUT THE MACHINE AND POST VIDEOS IF THEY WISHED. We cannot force testers to make videos - they are not paid by our company for the hours they are spending. Neither are they part of my marketing team. The device will ship to USA next week and the actual users I am sure will post videos - so I do not understand why this discussion is going on. We have not made any claims, neither have we asked anybody to buy the product. If you do not like the posts the testers are making - a simple suggestion - do not click on the thread and read it.

THANK YOU ALL!

And one more thing- I contacted Choppadude since his name was the first that came up on this thread as a suggested tester.
I will talk to him and see if he can be part of the testing team for the next project after verifying a few points with him.

Like I mentioned before - some IMPACT testers were also selected based on suggestions from forum members! Because we do listen and we feel very confident with any user testing our device as long as they are not biased and they are open minded about competition and they believe (just like we do) that competition will just benefit the end-users at the end.

Thank you....

My take on this...only one machine given to a hardcore coin hunter to test...yet I bet for a majority of people that detect, looking for older coins in a park or schoolyard is their only option. The machine wasn't tested by the right group of hunters, but by detecting forum yes-men, book sellers and youtube video gods. There, I said it...Here's what matters to me and the silent majority...can this Impact pull silver from a 100 year old urban park with moderate soil? Would I be able to take one and run it thru places I've pounded with Fisher/Tek and Minelab machines, places also hunted by everyone else...with every machine ever made in the last 40 years...and come home with silver 9 hunts out of 10? Prove that is possible and there will be a waiting list to buy one.

Bill S has an impact and is hunting it as we would in school yards, sports fields. He isn't saying anything here but he is making videos of the Impact in the same environment that most people will use them at.

People are not as biased as they are made out to be. Posts coming from your teams end seem just as prejudice in the eyes of the readers. Detector or Capt silver would be excellent testers as well. They are good honest people contributing to a thread . It is not fair that their post are being portrayed as otherwise. Thank you for contributing and I too am truly wishing the impact well but it is the end users that will determine the impacts destiny.:)

Hello! Thank you for your comments.
I wanted to clarify a few points - 1)There are no posts coming from our team end EXCEPT for my posts and I have never made any comments regarding the product. Impact testers are not part of our team and they were picked by suggestion JUST LIKE you are suggesting 2 people now in your post.

I believe you have not read many of my posts - I have been underlying and saying that we owe where we are to our valued customers and yes the product will speak and the end-users wil decide.

Best Regards,
Dilek

Be easier to tell the testers to keep a lid on it. Were testing something right now and haven't posted a peep about it.:D

Thanks for the kind words bibelot. There are far more like yourself out there than most manufacturers can imagine. The people I generally refer to as the silent majority. They may not have a gzillion posts but that does not mean they are not aware of how to tell a great detector from a fair one. I'm a bit more outgoing on my questioning because I've been mislead too many times by the fan club of a detector model or even flat out BS by manufacturers. I no longer choose to be a part of the silent majority but to be the one to openly post the questions I feel many would like to ask.

It's great to finally see some videos, although what I've seen so far my DFX could duplicate, but they are coming. I'm still waiting to see that one many have asked to see. The detector taken to a hard hit pretty much considered hunted out and see how it fairs. Will it be the one to bring new life to these sites, or just another detector like many others.

People are not stupid or blind. Yes, you can get to a lot of those new to the hobby, but the old timers know what makes a great detector. Again I use the Minelab E-Trac as an example simply because it fits to true definition of a great detector. I know of several fairly new detectors that came out spewing the typical hype like it was going to "raise the bar" and "have the other manufacturers playing catch up". Where are those detector today? Well one is hard to even sell for half its original price and the newer model is seldom even mentioned except by myself. A truly great detector will rise to the top on its own merits. Common sense will prove this.

I really hope this new detector turns out to be more than just a second rate detector in a few years. We need to see a new technology badly. In my opinion the Minelabs made the last big move in the ability to breath new life in those good old sites we know hold more of that good stuff.

My knack to tell it like I see it tends to make my posts controversial no doubt but I'm not here to pat the manufacturer on the butt but to aid my fellow hunters in sorting out all the hype. I get hammed a lot because I don't hesitate to ask the question the majority want to know. Is this detector going to breath new life in my old sites, or is it just another $700 detector with nothing more than any other $700 detector.

Time will tell. A year from now we'll know the answer. I just try to shorten that time so as few people need to waste their money as possible. Not saying the Impact fits this group so you thread dictators who think because you created a thread you are in charge of who or what can be posted can rest easy.

Again I wish Nokta and the Impact the best of luck and hope it turns out to be more than what I've seen so far.

I have not read many of your post as stated. I try not get involved in this thread as I am labeled as being biased and I should have been for bringing my retort to this thread that really was uncalled for. I shouldn't have taken anything so personal but I did and I'll be the first to apologize for being wrong. I promise that it won't happen again.

I am not suggesting anyone for I have no grounds to do so but from viewing their posts, they appear to be very honest people interacting with various threads on the forum.

Good luck in everything you do and thank you for taking the time to clarify your view. It is much appreciated.

Hello. With all due respect, why would we tell them not to talk about it and it is not our place to begin with as they are just regular users like everybody else.

They are free to talk or not talk just like any other member is. They have not posted anything while they were testing, either. Once we made the announcement, they were free to say whatever they wished.

They are just sharing their results with the people who are interested - anybody who is not interested about the product, they have the freedom not to click on the thread.

No need for an apology. I just wanted to clarify things in case you are not familiar with me and/or the company I represent. I thank you for your nice words and comments. We appreciate it.

Best to take some testers with a grain of salt. I remember the main CTX Florida beach tester passed it with flying colors. Then they found out it needed a saltwater option. Lol!

Well, our previous models work fine in saltwater for the most part (you can watch the videos of users on Youtube). Impact also has a beach mode. Now, that does not mean the device will react the same in every single site and environment but the product has been tested by more than 30 people so far - some did test it in salt water apart from our own testing team here and no issues were reported. Thank you!!

Keep up the good work Dude. Carpshooter had to box up a gift detector in the past he dodged around on some questions. I cant see what he posts since I was smart enough to block him and go detecting. In fact its time to get ready to go. Peace bro!

If folks will go back and read post #30 in this thread,,,you will see where Insaid I wasn't doing any videos.

So folks shouldn't be surprised here.

When folks get their Impact detectors and need assistance,,,I wonder,, will they be better served by info I have posted here,,,or by watching a video???

I think I know the answer.

Some real good data here.

Folks there was a reason I mention the Deus in this thread quite often.
I'll let folks figure out why.

More data.

Folks who purchase Impact,,how long will it take you to get proficient with,,to really see just how capable this detector really is??

If you think you can take this detector out 4 or 5 times and get super proficient with,,,better think again.

If after 4 or 5 outings, and you are dissapointed with,,,you might want to think again!!

I should point out here to folks,,I when receiving Impact,,was already very proficient with Xp Deus,,Makro Racers 1 and 2,, Nokta Relic,,Fisher F 75 series,,Minelab Etrac and CTX.

When I was trying to eventually determine just how capable the Impact was what did I do??

I didn't cheat here,,,meaning I wasn't finding targets with one of my other detectors and then comparing Impact over the target.

No,,I intentionally put Impact into what I deemed challenging sites.
Flew solo using it.

And I doing so,,,based on my memory and records,,at about the 80 hour mark of operating,,,this is when I thought I had a very good handle on this detector's capabilities.

Now,,after this 80 hour mark, some other detectors started coming into play as far as comparing targets.

There was some additional learning that took place (small) between the 80 and 100 hours marks.

If not for my experience and proficient with Xp Deus,,,I really believe this 80 hour mark learning that was done here,,would have likely had to have been pushed out some,,can't say how much.

Also,,if not for these challenging sites using Impact,,this whole process would have took longer. Hunting virgin sites would have showed me very little,,to what I was looking for.

Anyone who has read my post dealing with Xp Deus,,knows they are very detailed.

I take detecting seriously and try to be as clear as I can when describing what I see and what I hear,,and also try to conditionalize such info provided with comments as they relate to possible EMI,,and levels of ground minerals.

As a matter a fact,,I may have already posted the most publically to date as a single person on the new Deus version 4.

Folks don't have to read this info in this thread period.

It is free info,,I hope it does help some folks.

Every time I go detecting,,,if I see or hear some thing that could benefit folks,,I start thinking about this even while still in the field,,on how I want to describe.

So folks understand,,all my data combined,,is based off of using Impact detector in the following sites:
Old school yards
Old home sites
Fields
Old town site 1750-1804
2 parks

I never did take the Impact detector to a metropolitan area and use.
I did take Impact to one town and use population 1200,,and there was light wires 3 phase and single phase house current on poles all around me.

When I was using the Impact was it exposed in a hunting scenario with someone else running another detector?? In relatively close quarters.(Btw this was done after I was told I could talk about detector publically)
Yes

Namely
Nokta Relic detector
White's V3i
Minelab Etrac

No problems noted by doing out of the ordinary.

Pinpointer causing interference-- I've already I think commented on this here in the thread.

Longest thread ever. I miss the days when all we had to talk about was Clinton VS. Trump. Actually I think this thread was good to get some things out in the open. The people that detect are some of the nicest folks you will meet any where. Sometimes I feel like we are all one big family.
I hope all manufacturers will continue to put out new machines. I like the buzz.

Well said Pastor Bob.

I think in the long run we all, and I do mean even us that disagree, have the same motives. To improve the metal detecting hobby. tnsharpshooter and I or Nokta may not see eye to eye on some discussions, but I do believe their intentions are good and honest as are mine.

This is one of the few hobbies where we all work to help each other become better even though we're all in competition if you think about it. That's good natured folks.

Now don't get me started on Clinton & Trump LOL. Thank the Admins and Mods that politics are a No No.
