I quit going there for many of the same reasons you guys cited. But before the ad blitz. The ONLY reason I go there now is to ask technical questions via private messages to vferrari. I have asked him several times to come over here. Maybe the ad blitz will help change his mind.
I won't comment any more because I don't think we are supposed to criticize other forums on this forum.
But it seems like over the last 2-3 months there has been a decided uptick to new members on this forum. I just thought a lot of people were new to the hobby and buying AT Pros and Equinox 600 or 800's.

I realize that's a noble concern. But the other part of me hopes that the "lights go on" and someone wakes up over there , upon reading this thread.
Since it was among the first (or the very first ?) md'ing forum on the WWW, it thus ... to this day .... still has a high degree of traffic. And you know the psychology of "crowds draw crowds".
It also has an admittedly good layout, a cool show & tell system, etc.... So it's just a shame that the moderation is so biased and poor. So ... although we "shall not name names", yet : If anyone here is reading that can rattle some chains there, it would be nice if the bologna could get cleaned up.

For Dent's Run I recommend this brand. Use more or less, proportionate with the size of the Ego.

I'm right there with ya on that Tom, it's a real shame. Unfortunately, it appears there is no one at the helm over there. Perhaps it will eventually get their attention when the profit & loss statements come in. By then it will be too late I'm afraid.
And that's all I have to say about THAT.

I actually went and met that dents run guy this summer and checked out his new "ancient indian stonehenge site". Shoot me a pm if you curious about more insight into him. Was a interesting experience for sure. still have not posted my thoughts about what I saw on the other site yet. Been too busy for work.

I'm assuming that your "insight" into that fellow, was one that's not accepting of his numerous legend-chase-stories, is it ? Ie.: I'm assuming you've seen the silly-ness ?
If so: That's part of the problem "there". That fellow has "favored nation status" (friends with one of the mod's, if I'm not mistaken).
You can show skepticism and engage in locker-room talk on ANY TH'ing media personality, ANY machine, and ANY legend, etc... But you can not take a critical view of that fellow or his pet ghost-stories. Can not try to show the holes in his story. You will immediately be shut down. If you persist, you're banned.
Is that crazy, or what ?
