Kellyco?

Well, the fact is I spent near a grand on a metal detector that has no warranty although Kellyco advertised an 18 month warranty. Simply put and verbatim I was told by the salesman, "call Whites to get the warranty."
You know, if I was dealing with one of my customers and I implied through words or deed that their warranty concerns were the problems of the manufacturer rather than honoring an advertised claim I'd not only loose a customer but my job also.
In addition to that, the last time I called I was told by the woman that answered, "the salesman is busy. Call him back later." My response, "Well when should I call? In 15 mins, 30 mins?" Some time later is what she told me.
...Have you called White's to see if it IS still under warranty?....You might call Todd Marshall @ White's and speak with him about it to ACTUALLY get something done....

Heres an up to date review of them literally just got off the phone with them. It is after hours there except for customer service, and they just emailed, called my home, and called my cell phone to let me know that my order could not be processed due to a bad credit card. We went through the card info and realized that I entered the wrong exp. date. Alot of companies would have just emailed me and waited for my response trust me I have had that happen, but since they were so diligent my order has been processed and will be shipping tomorrow A++ in my book.

Whites and Kellyco

Well, I had called Whites Tue. I think and left a message. Yesterday, a very kind lady (Nettie) called and left a message for me to call her so I gave her a buzz later that day.
Nettie was very helpful. She took my some information and said she would transfer the warranty to my name. I was very grateful for some help. Thanks to the many on the forum that offered some help.

Good deal. Some transactions don't go smooth all the time, and it can be with "Any" company. If you don't get the responce you want you just need to keep going up the chain of comand to get the person who will "Fix" the problem. That may take 10 call's and being transfered several times each call to do so. The main thing is to stay on it like you did....

Just for fun, give one of the forum sponsors New England Detectors a try. I have been buying and selling over the internet for more years than I care to admit to and they are hands down the best company I have ever dealt with over the internet!

Always remember, you can't sell a $400 product, give away $450 in free merchandise, and stay in business. NED doesn't try to pretend they are doing that. Take a look at the packages they offer on their high end products - there is no junk there.

Take a look at their web site and give them a call. I think you'll be as impressed as I was.

Just to add to this, I actually spoke to Andrew today from New England Detectors in reference to product that I am thinking about buying. He seemed very nice and friendly over the phone and took a great deal of time talking with me knowing that I was not ready to make a purchase just yet and was in the research mode. I would definitely make a purchase from him in the future.
